Wow, what a coincidence as we enjoy the lowest oil prices in years....

Up go gas prices. Is it possible that the union is colluding with management? I wouldn't doubt it.

I wonder if the union would face much backlash? Times are hard and the lower gas prices have been a welcome breath off fresh air to the people and the economy.

I have several friends who work in the oil industry and almost all of the guys who work in exploration have been out of work for months now. When the price goes down, so does the budget for exploration. I know this, I don't know anyone who works in oil who doesn't make a damned good living.

I paid $1.99 late last week and it is $2.14 today at the same station. Interesting that outside of the article I presented I have not seen any other news concerning the union strike.

Lot of gloom and doom here in Houston. A lot of people remember the 80's Oil bust when the running joke was the only difference between a pidgeon and a Texas Oilman is that the pidgeon could still make a deposit on a Mercedes. :)

Hopefully though our economy here in Houston is more diverse and can survive with not too much slow down.
