They are from the state of Ohio! 8) 8) And they have the ball, trailing 19-14 with 7 minutes left in the game.
What next the Ivies, eh Jif!! JoePa playing Temple sometime soon? I didn't know they even played football at Temple anymore, they were kicked out of the Big Least aren't they a basketball only school?
Huskerman, Coach Solich has done a tremendous job at Ohio University, especially recruiting some good Ohio high school talent. They gave us quite a scare today! Don
With Wells the OSU offense was still not all that strong last year. Without Wells the O is even more of a weakness for the Buckeyes. The USC defense will be a tough pill for this Buckeye offense to swallow. Telling it like it is and expecting the usual flak for doing so. 8) SI's take: "It's still a win and it still sets up the Game of the Year (for now) in L.A., but this performance wasn't the statement the Buckeyes were looking to make. Last we saw of the Trojans, they were lambasting a Virginia team that won nine games in 2007. Today's performance by the Buckeyes is a definite cause for concern. If the OSU team that put up just 287 total yards of offense against Ohio is the team that shows up in the Coliseum, things will get far uglier than they did against the Bobcats."
You can tell it however you like...the game will be played on the field. I told crazy John we've got them right where we want them...did y'all hear Mark May?...talking about the USC running backs "licking their chops"...I hope they are. This was all in the plan...show them nothing...get them licking their chops...Pete Carroll, by the way, just gave the Trogs Mon. and Tues. off...said they don't need to practice this week. Seriously, though... 1. I have ALWAYS said that the MAC can play, and Solich is doing a great job down in Athens. 2. I don't expect Beanie to be a factor, if he even plays...I don't understand what this mysterious foot injury is, but they are keeping it very close to the vest (pun intended). They haven't even described just what it is...I saw it when he went down, and it didn't look good...there was no cut, no twist, no sprain...something just popped in it...I didn't like how he was walking on the sideline today, either...whatever it is, I think it will take a while...we'll see.
Stu I'm just pointing out something I have said before about OSU's offense not being of elite caliber. I was talking with a Michigan fan/buddy of mine today on the way to the golf course and he agreed 100% that OSU's offense sputtered against UM last year when they should have rolled on the Wolverines with the field position they enjoyed all day. I just think the offense is a little suspect and that may hurt them critically against a very good defense like USC's. Then again maybe Tressel can pull out a close one like he did several in 2002.
I just wish that the Fla offense could have played on that field in those conditions last year in Ann Arbor.
Hell, I though Frank Solich did a tremendous job at Nebraska. But he got the same treatment as Earl Bruce
Morning DOC!.... Temple? Well I suppose they might be a push over. Tell me, do you think North Carolina, Navy, Syracuse, Pitt, will win many games this year??
