A huge signature win for the Buckeyes tonight vs Wiskey and Homecoming as well. I did not give us a snowball in He-- chance of winning this game. We had a great defensive effort and Boom Herron really came out strong in the second half. A blocked punt allowed one score and we had time of possesion on our side. Maybe this was a breakout game for Braxton Miller. One 44 rushing TD from scrimmage and then a 40 yart TD in the last minute of the game. This has sto be a good confidence builder for this team, with all the frustations of this season.
 Wow. One of the true miracle comeback victories of all time. This game was as good as the ND-Michigan insanity earlier in the season. Now the Buckeyes need to get rid of those Oregon/Halloween costumes they were wearing...
Great win for OSU, maybe they have turned the corner. I really thought UW had a chance to play for the NC, but Buckeyes removed what was left of that possibility. 8)
AJ, You probably are correct reference Miller, but thats why we paly the game, right? Nice win for the Huskers over Sparty yesterday. Please note I picked the Huskers in the pickem contest! Should have done the same thing for my Buckeyes! Congratulations on the World Series win as well.
Excellent win, great 3+ qtrs of defense and mercifully, after this game the unis will be retired until they trot something out for one game next season. I don't remember two late game defensive collapses of this magnitude....ever, but never complain about a good win. Prior to the meltdowns in the secondary the front seven stoned Wisky's front as effectively as any I've seen against those monsters..... Offense will come continue to come around as Miller matures and gains experience...the addition of Boom, the left tackle Adams and our only wideout with ANY game experience Philly Brown has been a monster benefit. Our best wideout Posey doesn't return until the stripehead game.....I expect them to be playing at a pretty high level by that time.....a rematch with the Huskers in Indianapolis is a very real possibility.
Back to back weeks for Wisconsin losing on a Hail Mary at the end of the game. If we had any Badger fans on this board, they would have killed themselves.
BT and DB, Congrats. I realised that the Bucks still had a good defense but was very surprised how they totally shut down Wisconsin's running game, which is something you do not see very often. Getting Herron back and Miller's improvement game by game has done wonders for your offense. I am not feeling as cocky about 11/26 as I did several weeks ago. AJ, Double congrats re the Cards and the beatdown the Huskers put on Sparty. With the Cards getting Wainwright back next year, they will be tough again even if they lose Albert but, as a fan, I hope Albert comes to his senses and stays in St. Louis since he should end his career as a Cardinal as Jeter is doing with the Yankees. _______ The BT divisional races are nuts. Penn State has a two game lead and a bye week this week but then play Nebraska at home and Ohio and Wisky on the road. They are going to get creamed in Madison and have never fared well in Columbus. I think there is a real good possibility they could go 0-3 in this stretch which means that the the 11/26 OSU/M game in Ann Arbor could decide that division since I think Wisky will run the table re their remaining schedule. In the other division, the Huskers control their fate. If they win out they are in the championship game but have to visit Ann Arbor and State College. Sparty has the easiest schedule so if Nebraska loses to either Penn State or the Wolvies, Sparty will probably be in the title game. Next few weeks will be interesting. Nebraska coming into the BT and the league splitting into divisions has made life as a BT fan much more interesting.
Corey, I think the Badger fans in my office would be firing up their charcol grills in their bedrooms were it not for the fact that the Packers give them a reason to live. I do not recall a team enduring two losses in a row like that. I still think they are the best team in the B10 but will need borrow the luck of Les Miles to get into the B10 title games. The B10 story is that the qualitative difference in talent between the good teams is not all that much which turns every road game into a potential ambush.
I'm fairly certain that Les sold his soul. I have a friend who's from Wisconsin. He's leaving for Afghanistan on a 6 month work contract this weekend. I didn't have the heart to tell him. He's all caught up in the 'going away' celebrations to see the end of the game and figured I'd tell him if there was anything news worthy. (he thought the Badgers had it won)
That's right, the will play them no matter what. Husker Blackshirts look like they've got it figured out. Bo say's their improving each week, and from what I've seen, that's true. I knew that Cards were gonna take it all this past spring....
Sparty was the cigarette after the orgasm of game 7... Albert should come back. He's already won 2 rings, so the excuse to play for a contender won't work. I just hope he isn't like ARod and whores himself out to the highest bidder. I heard that during spring training the Cards offered him 9 years and 190-200 million...and he turned it down. Personally I'm having a blast in the B1G ten. Thank God we got involved in a stable conference and the hell outa "As the B12 Turns" episodes. How much fun am I having? Nebraska threw only 6 passes last Saturday...we're right were we belong.
