Buckeyes dominate in thier opening game with over 500 yards in total offense. Pryor threw for just under 250 yards and three TDs with no interceptions. Tressel played six receivers.

Four tailbacks used this evening with Brandon Saine gaining over 100 yards. Surprise of the evening was freshman Jamal Berry, who looks like a winner also.

Only miscue of the evening was a blocked field goal that was returned for the only score for the thundering Herd.

Freshman Ben Buchanan looked very impressive as our new punter.

Hurricanes look very good this evening. Should be a good matchup a week from Saturday here at the Shoe.

    Don,

offense looked extraordinary...TP looks as if he's really making strides as a QB as appears to be on the verge on reaching his vast potential....don't think we'll see many calls for him to be moved to TE this week! Still looking for that 3rd WR tho.....ur right about Berry, but we are just loaded at TB like I don't remember in years.

Defense, much as expected, GREAT to see Tyler Moeller flying around and putting his hat on people...what an amazing kid. Hopefully we get Nathan Williams back for the Canes as we're gonna need all hands on deck to chase Jacory around all day....

We have much work to be done on special teams.....not a good start, esp after getting alot of focus in spring and summer camp.

Canes up next, Jacory looked impressive....

Neither opponent showed much but it does appear that Miami and Ohio State are headed for what looks to be a great game next Saturday.

Marshall didn't have much of a chance there. I also look forward to OSU-Miami. That game will tell us a lot more about both of those teams.

Both Miami and Ohio State can be explosive, both teams have excellent QB and you will see some very solid defenisve play from both squads.

Should be a great game to watch for college football fans.

I will be the first to admit that if Tennessee comes out in the first game with 75% of the explosiveness of either of these teams, I will be a happy camper! I have no idea what to expect from our team but that would be a great baseline.
