This could be a very interesting game at noon today. Hoosiers have shown the ability to generate some real offense and score some major points.

Our secondary has been crippled with two key starters being lost for the season.

Pryor still unknown in my book on how effective he will be today. Everyone says 100% but I am a little dubious. We need to establish a running game and keep the Hoosisers off the field.

I am banking on our defense to win this one. Look for a pretty close game.

    Don,

Those Hoosiers can throw the rock....two outstanding WR, big bodied NFL caliber to go with a QB who can deliver it. I'd be shocked if they threw it less than 50 times today. With all the injuries in our secondary, it will be on the d-line to dial up enough pressure to keep him running for his life....expect them to use alot of quick drops to counter. I do expect them to hit a few big plays, but I expect a few picks and big plays by our Silverbullets. Big test for our freshman starter Bryant...have heard him compared favorably to Antoine Winfield - that would be a good thing.

Offensively, look for classic Tressell-ball. With a wounded QB and Wisky coming up next week, I don't see him asking Prior to do any more than is absolutely necessary to secure the W. Expect a lot of power football with the stable of backs getting alot of work and I expect the O-line to respond and rally around their hobbled leader. Fans might get their wish today and see more carries from Jordan and Berry, but I expect Herron to get the majority and deliver as he always does....love that kid.

The Bucks should prevail in a solid but unspectacular manner and that's just fine with me....just win and get/stay healthy baby.

hmmm so Tressel is going to pound the ball, not let Pryor do much....so in reality it ends up bombs away and Pryor has his best throwing game ever.

Remind me not to ask OSU guys for inside info on OSU football!!!

Coach Tressel wins #100 with the win over Indiana today. Game turned out much different than I anticipated, with Pryor having a record setting day through the air. He is nowhere near 100% with that quad injury!

Kudos to the defense, which kept the Hoosiers way below their average in scoring and air yards. Punting game much better today for Buckeyes.

Buckeyes will probably move to #1 in the polls, but will not enjoy the number of votes the Tide have experienced. Oregon is going to get some first place votes!

So much for the conventional wisdom that Tress is buttoned-up and predictable! Apparently IU felt the same way and loaded the box praying that our primary objective was to get the ball out of TP's hands as quickly as possible...guess not. What they didn't realize was how badly they matched up with our skill players in space and how well TP can sling the rock these days.....he had almost 300 in the first half and we were throwing the ball downfield at will. The oline protecting very well and they rarely laid a glove on TP and he never once pulled the ball down and took off as he would under normal circumstances....also zero called runs for the QB. While clearly ok to drop and set, Tress is taking no chances with Wisky coming up next week....

Our defense continues to play lights out in spite of the slew of injuries....this is the same IU team that put up over 500 yds of total offense last week.....they couldn't get out of their own way yesterday.

Nice win, likely jump to #1 but the little voice inside of my head is beginning to express concerns about the running game.....we've got some work to do before next week at Madison. Night game in Madison against a very, very good Badger team is always a brawl....and yes, big boy pads are mandatory.
