Wow.....didn't expect that. Game wasn't as close as the final score.... This team has a chance to make a deep run in the dance. Great, great defense and alot of weapons from which to choose. Still have concerns about the youth and perimeter shooting given the loss of Diebler, but the emergence of Thomas as a welcome addition to Buford's threat to go off at any time, from anywhere ought to keep opposing defenders occupied.... tough game on the road -v- Kansas coming up.....love this pre-season schedule. Clearly Matta has taken the program to an elite level.....
We talked about this in another thread, but when you have a dominant player like Sully esp a post type player and good talent even if young around him you have a great chance of being one of the best teams in the country.
We finally had a decent night hitting treys and limiting the opposition on treys as well. Coach K thought his team played tired, due to their hectic holiday schedule and that may well have been true, but they still got there butts handed to them. Sell out crowd was great and a number of former players there, as well as LeBron James and Wade from Miami.
It certainly was a great night for gray uniforms....Purdue played great and OSU was just unconscious.
Stu are you hearing that ND and Purdue are going to finally play again in basketball in 2013? I think it's a preseason tourney.
