Some praise, some criticism, as well as some bunk as could be expected. Michigan and Tressel: The 2 Sides of Jim Tressel
A much more balanced portrayal than some of the drivel spooned out under the Times banner in years past.....I believe him to be a fine man and a great role-model and leader for these kids and the community and I'm damn glad he's on our side. There is not another coach in football - NFL or college - that I would rather have on the sidelines for a big game. I think we'll keep him!
I, for one, didn't much care for the article..."Two Sides"...yeah, right...the side that is out there for everybody to see, and the side that exsists only in the minds of tOSU detractors...can you say "snide remarks?"...can you say "innuendo?"...what a crock. Interesting information on that hot expose recently released by the Institute for Diversity and Ethics in Sports and immediately thrown in our faces;
I agree Stu....I guess my point of reference is that heretofore all we've gotten ifrom the Times is the innuendo and other worthless crap. This is the first time I've actually seen the Times suggest that the man may have some redeeming qualities....the true measure of the man imho is the fact that it seems that those that know him best and longest are the ones that hold him in the highest esteem.
