    Good.

Early line is that it may be Trev Alberts replacing him. He currently is the AD at U of Nebr @ Omaha.

Eichorst was very hands off....never talked to the media....made decisions by himself. Not very popular around here. The only time he talked to the media after a FB game, was immediately after the NIU loss. Musta got your attention huh Shawn?

I thought that an interesting quote, holding the AD responsible for the on the failures. I thought that was on the coaches, does this mean that the new AD will be tasked with firing Mike Riley and hiring a new HC?

Doc...mostly that was him firing Pelini, then hiring Riley on his own without getting any input from the board, boosters, etc. Harvey Pearlman was the Univ Pres at the time, and was overall weak in nature from what I've read. It goes without saying that if we lose to Rutgers Sat, then the heat is on Riley next.

Jason Peters does not pull any punches about the present coaching staff and culture at Nebraska.

Yeah, heard that live the other day. Lol...he's 100% right. When the game started, and they were showing the tunnel walk, there was no emotion, no motivation with any of the players. I thought at that moment that was not a good sign. 3 hours later...

Scott Frost has been doing a great job turning around the program at CFU. He'd be a great choice for the Huskers.

    Gip,

Is that the word down there?...all the folks here are screaming for change, specifically getting folks in that fully understand the culture here. They want NU guys in every job. But...if your still 9-4 after 3 years, what then?

AJ I was reading the article that Bobda posted. It suggested that if Alberts were the next AD he'd consider Frost for coach. He's really turned around the UCF program in 2 years.

Huskers hire Dave Rimington as the Interim AD. He was a great player for Neb, won the Outland 2 times, the only player to ever do that.

And just how big of news is that?.........well, the Presidents special report that interrupted local programming, was interrupted by that announcement.

    True Story!!

You know you are in Nebraska when...

Well Neb didn't take long to find their new AD, they hired Blll Moos the Washington State AD. Moos has no connections to Neb, so somehow I am a little surprised. Let the Mike Leach to Neb speculation begin!!

What's the reaction from Neb fans AJ?

    Doc,

Been listening to Sports radio (Local) all morning. So far middle of the road here.

Seems like the guy has a good track record, but will he grasp the culture around here and embrace it like he's lived it for decades? Come in now and make changes that don't gravitate back to that (culture), or worse, nothing gets better, you've lost.

Interesting though was Moos contract is loaded with bonus incentives. First one is win the B1G west, get's him and extra 100K. Eichorst's and Pederson's contracts had none.

Grasp the culture? According to this entry in Wikipedia, Moos raised cattle after he resigned as Oregon's AD. While his last name makes me think he would be a good fit at Wisconsin, the words ' beef cattle rancher' and 'Omaha steaks' seem to go together as a cultural fit. The only other question is does he have Scott Frost's phone number on speed dial?

Also, not getting along with Phil Knight probably speaks well of his character.

Yes...baby steps....we just gotta remember who we are. Starts with who really wants the "N"

    Here's a remarkable stat:

From 1970 to 2016, the NFL drafted more former walk-ons at Nebraska — 25 — than from 606 other universities, combined, over the course of pro football history.
