What only 7500 showed up for Fan Day??? Can't all have been out in the fields harvesting the summer corn crop!! As far as Green, you know as a fan that it's best to give the QB a redshirt year, but then sometimes even a true freshman can have an exciting year like Pryor at Ohio State or Robt Griffin at Baylor did last year. Tough Call that gets tougher as the year goes on, I mean if you take off his redshirt in the last couple of games you always wonder why he didn't play earlier. Personally I would like to see the scholarship be for 5 years, then it doesn't matter if the kid plays as freshman for 1 minute or 100 minutes, he still has 4 more years if he needs/wants them.
It all depends on what you want and what your getting. I remember Dr. Tom getting restless with Mike Grant after 4 games in 1992. Then the Dr. burned one Tommie Frazier's shirt and, well the rest is history. BTW, did I ever tell you I was at that game? It's when I was stationed in St. Louis (90-93) training reservists. We got tickets and headed up to Columbia wondering if this Freshman in his 1st Collegiate start could get it done....
Husker............. <t>How did you like Wainwright's HR and effort on the mound last night? Number 14 and he really ought to have 16 wins but the bully let him down twice weeks ago. What can you say about Holiday and three more hits.<br/> Hope they can keep it up.</t>
