    If Columbus Ohio can support a NHL team I would then Omaha Nebraska would be able to do as well.

    In defense of Columbus
    A. It's the largest city in Ohio
    B. It's the 15 largest city in the US.
    C. The sports facilities that they do have are excellent including their soccer stadium that has hosted World Cup qualifying matches.

    Quick look at the list of the 50 largest cities gave me some surprises. Omaha which is way down the list, is bigger than Oakland and Miami. Of course those 2 cities have much larger metro areas. Omaha is listed as 400K in population, so I assume there is a "Greater" Omaha metro area that is growing rapidly.
