Well Charlie has issued the depth chart for the SDSU game, and there are a few suprises. Biggest one is that John Ryan and Kerry Neal are sort of co-starters on defense. I think almost everybody expected that Kerry Neal after his play last year would be the starter at DE this year, I guess John Ryan didn't get the memo. Good for him, if he's stepped up his game that is good for him, good for Kerry Neal, and good for the Irish defense. Other suprises is that Kyle Rudolph is the #1 TE over returning vet Will Yeatman and Luke Schmidt. I certainly expect all three to play a lot but listing Rudolph as #1 says something about the freshman. They moved Duncan from backup LT to backup Guard and Matt Romaine is #2 at LT, which is good because Turk is in his last year and this will groom Matt to be the starter next year if Xavier Nixon isn't available There have been several reports posted on the SDSU camps, but it's hard to figure them out since I'm not familar with their personel and they have a very young team. They are starting a QB who has never taken a snap in a college football game. He's been getting good reviews in what's been posted. But comming to ND and facing a Tenuta blitz is not the way to start your career, just ask Demtrius Jones. Of course I doubt if the Irish will show a lot if they don't have to vs SDSU given that Michigan is up next. So naturally you figure Charlie will try to beat SDSU with base offense and base defense. Oh and Krebs you need to spend more time with LaLota, the rumours are that he's liking Michigan a lot. Terry 8)
we suck <r>I'm just hoping to win the coin toss at this point.<br/> <br/> <IMG src="http://elmyhalily.googlepages.com/pessimism.gif"><s></e></IMG></r>
 Don't worry honey the flag is on the pole ready to be hung .. All my little Irish trickets are in place, the IRISH light is over the fireplace, My CD of the ND Game Day is in the boom box. and one in my car I have ready my rosary from the pope and just in case a bottle of holy water from Lourdes .the crock pots are ready to be filled and the clan is ready to go...... Hopefully the team is too...Love Ya GO IRISH
Holy Cow! And I thought JO'Co had all the voodoo necessary to guarantee an Irish victory. Looks like Diane has all the pieces in place, including the rosary and the holy water. Way to go, Diane!!
I know what you mean Joel. Even your own JoePa is opening with Coastal Carolina, have you ever even heard of them? I doubt if Coastal Carolina is even as good as the Ivies.
When I was stationed at Camp Lejeune (Pronounced Lejerne) I took classes at Coastal Carolina.....however, it was a Community College at the time. You know what a Community College is Joel? It's a High School with ash trays....
You guys are talking about the fightin Chanticleers right down the road from me in Myrtle.....! Strong up and coming golf program....both athletically and educationally - alot of internship opportunities down in these parts - a great recruiting tool for those guys! Football however is not their stronog suit...
sdsu <r>Well I guess I'll be the optimistic one here and GUARANTEE an Irish. There is no way that ND will <B><s></s>not<e></e></B> be able to win by at least 4 TDs. Even last years version of this team would have beat them by the same so nothing bold here in predicting a win. <br/> <br/> Terry, Like you, I am concerned about the reports coming from the scrimmage last Sunday. I don't know what to make of it. <br/> <br/> Diane, I have my ND flag ready too. <E></E></r>
When you look at the teams making the NCAA, in golf, it is pretty amazing how many teams are good from schools you hardly ever even hear about for major sports. Mostly in the ACC/SEC region. College of Charleston, Georgia Southern, Stetson, a very long list of who are those guys. Terry
.....and we were 1 and 1 in those two games. It's a one-week season......SDS......our only game in this one-week season. We will finish this one-week season either undefeated or winless. No in-between.
