Well to the Citrus Bowl to play 2 games against opponents to be determined later. FSU has also made a similar commitment to play in the Citrus Bowl. Maybe we can get up a trip for the Prodigy Crowd and Gator Bill can come down!!
Taking an annual game on the road to various neutral sites is a brilliant move by Notre Dame. I'm not living there any longer, so I'm waiting for Notre Dame to come to Franklin NC!
Bill you need to be a progressive thinker. If you work ahead, and use your considerable pull with UF you should be able to coordinate game times so you attend the ND game in the early afternoon, and then swing over to your home UF game in the evening!
People are hoping that we can get UF or UGA or even Miami to play us in this game. I can't see UF or UGA doing a 2nd neutral site game, I do think Miami would fall all over themselves to play the Irish again. I just hope we don't end up playing USF or UCF. Terry
I would love for one of those games to be with the Gators. Here some barriers I would see though. First it would have to truly be a neutral site game with both teams having equal tickets. Secondly if the game happens once the SEC part of our schedule starts I don't see it happening. For instance the game in Texas is the same day as Forida - Georgia. We end with FSU so it doesn't fit there. Where I think it might work is the first game of the season. And I think a Urban Meyer - Charlie Weis matchup would be a classic. I can hope.
Alabama-Notre Dame would be nice <t>But I agree with Bill, it would have to be a 50/50 split on the gate and tickets, niether of which is in ND's plans. Also it would be the 6th road game for Alabama and a year in which we play Penn State (11) and Ga Tech (14) on the road. Just have to hope for a bowl matchup I guess.</t>
