    Pretty impressive.

    Notre Dame No. 1

Nineteen of 22 athletic programs at Notre Dame compiled graduation rates of 100 percent, and none were below 90 percent, according to the Graduation Success Rate released Tuesday by the NCAA.

None of the 119 Football Bowl Subdivision programs had a higher percentage of 100 percent GSR scores than Notre Dame with its .863 figure (19 of 22).

All 11 Irish women's programs posted a GSR of 100 percent

Among Notre Dame's men's sports, baseball, basketball, cross country/track, fencing, lacrosse, soccer, swimming and tennis achieved 100 percent GSR scores. Ice hockey scored 96 percent, football 94, golf 90.

I always knew those golfers aren't as smart as they look  That is a very impressive accomplishment. Go Irish!

It's not suprising that so many womens sports at all schools are 100%, there is for the most part no reason for them to leave school early. Even the WNBA isn't a big enough attraction, I think only a couple of women (Cappy Poindexter of Rutgers and Candace Parker of Tenn) have left college for the WNBA before their eligibilty was up.

I have heard of a couple of women track stars who were in the world top 10 who stopped competing on a collegiate level so they could go pro. Evidently they can make some decent money on the European track circuit. There are probably a few girls who leave for the LPGA as well.
