    I didn't see that Garciaparra was out for the rest of the post season. But it's probably moot anyway as I doubt they can get my the Mets now.

    I picked him up on our fantasy team this year and used his last year playing shortstop to have him at shortstop until he went on the DL again. We rode his average all the way up to .363 and then all the way down to .300, which is darn good, but the stretch where he was coming down was not good.

    The fatasy writeup about him is that he's a great player to have in between DL stents.

    Nomar is not finished. He is available for pinch hitting duties ala Kirk Gibson and he's personally coaching his replacement James Loney. It leadership like that from older players that put the Dodgers into the playoffs while other teams didn't qualify...
