What a waiste of time this kid is. Most likely, he will amount to nothing. When fathers don't raise their kids, most likely not much good will come from that child. I can't say it's entirely his fault. He never knew any better. http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/local/orl-devine0906jul09,0,5622371.story?coll=orl-sports-headlines
Tailback, I think you are rushing to judgement on this kid. He's had a tough life and it wouldn't be easy for anyone. If he goes the wrong place, FSU for instance, where anything goes then he may end up going the wrong way. If he goes somewhere where the coaches take an interest in him and make him fowllow the rules he may yet be ok. I don't give up on someone that young yet.
Gator Bill, You're right, and I hoipe he makes it. But he better get in line in a hurry. He already has produced 2 children and he's still running with thugs from what it sounds like. I don't know about you, but I never was around shootings at his age? at 5'8" and 170, he better prepare for life after football.
Noel Devine looks like this years Reggie Bush, but when Deion Sanders reaches out to help you and take it that help then walk out on him with no explanation or warning. That makes me worry about his character. As a high schooler he has tons of talent, wheter he has it between the ears to utilize it like Reggie did or will be another Maurice Clarett. Stay Tuned.
Tailback and Terry, you both make very good points. But the environment he was brought up in cannot all be laid at his feet. I hope he gets good guidance wherever he goes and makes the best out of his life.
