This revelation comes from a months-long invstigation by the local Indy NBC affiliate. Once the results of the investigation were made public, the news went viral. It's puzzling to me that the IRS won't do anything about it, saying that they can't change the regs without congressional approval. The IRS certainly is being arrogant about insulting our intelligence. They (IRS) obviously are taking their marching orders from the administration.

We sit here agonizing over whether we can claim a bag of clothing to Goodwill as a deduction while the IRS and Treasury hand out $3.13B to illegals claiming child credits who do not pay taxes to begin with?

    What insanity! Hope and change.

You know on a one on one basis most of these illegals are good people just trying to have a better life, and no way are they smart enough to figure out all these loopholes, they are being guided through this process by somebody most likely a US citizen with accounting and familiarity with the whole system...like maybe even a former IRS agent. You know those same guys who are alwayas advertising that they can get you out of your tax problem owing nothing or a fraction of what you should have paid.

Around World, Obama’s Presidency A Disappointment

By DON MELVIN and ROD McGUIRK

In Europe, where more than 200,000 people thronged a Berlin rally in 2008 to hear Barack Obama speak, there’s disappointment that he hasn’t kept his promise to close the military prison at Guantanamo Bay, and perceptions that he’s shunting blame for the financial crisis across the Atlantic.

In Mogadishu, a former teacher wishes he had sent more economic assistance and fewer armed drones to fix Somalia’s problems. And many in the Middle East wonder what became of Obama’s vow, in a landmark 2009 speech at the University of Cairo, to forge a closer relationship with the Muslim world. In a world weary of war and economic crises, and concerned about global climate change, the consensus is that Obama has not lived up to the lofty expectations that surrounded his 2008 election and Nobel Peace Prize a year later. Many in Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America were also taken aback by his support for gay marriage, a taboo subject among religious conservatives.

Krebsie, that is one of single most extraordinary things that I have ever seen......after every House member representing every district in every state in the country voted against the President's budget then every Senator in every state in the Union followed suit and voted against the President's budget......and yet people really believe this guy's performance is such that he has earned the right to keep his job????? How does that work?

JO'Co, has that ever happened before in the history of the country? Not ONE sitting legislator - in either party - voted in favor of the President's budget proposals, not one......

re: President skunked on his own budget proposals

I've never heard of that happening before. Usually, a president will get at least some charity votes from his own party, even when his ideas are totally off the wall. In this case, Obama got zero votes from his own party in either house. This means that San Fran Nan, Horseface Harry, and the Black Caucus voted against his ideas as well as the Republicans...

The Republican campaign against Obama is really vicious. They're attacking him with his own words and speeches...
