Rather than hyjacking the Florida recruiting topic further, I decided to move the Nicholson conversation over here.

What is your favorite Nicholson movie?

That one tops my list as well. However, to offer up another selection:

I'll offer up four clues... I wouldn't be surprised if you don't get it with clue one. Clue 2 should spark a memory. Nicholson may not be your choice of actors if you're clueless after #3. If you don't know it by #4, don't bother attempting an answer. 8)

    Cuckoo's Nest by far.

Does anyone remember his role in Easy Rider?

    BATMAN!! TOO EASY.

Have you had a chance to see the Dark Knight? Heath Ledgers portrayal of the Joker was AWESOME...

I'm not a batman movie type. I just liked that one because of Nicholson.

#2. That combined with #1 solved it immediately.

You have got to watch the Dark Knight. It's not a Hokey version of Batman that Nicholson's and keaton's was. It's a real darkside version (as DC comics originally created) with an absolutely amazing rendition of the Joker by Ledger. You won't regret it.

I like most everything he ever did. He always gives a superb performance.

Three examples of one's I really liked.....

    Mars Attacks!
Played a dual role but his bit as the President was the best in a movie that was filled with dozens of top stars and was a silly comedic ensemble.

    As Good As It Gets
He was Marvin Udall, a complete nutcase who has virtually every psychosis and is completely anti-social. How he plays that role and develops that character into a functioning human being was unforgettable.

    The Departed

As evil as you can get, he was a complete psychopath as Frank Costello, a Boston mobster. Yet he played him as an extremely learned and well read type character as well. When you steal the show in that cast you know you are a great actor.

He went to high school about three miles from where I sit ... Manasquan HS here at the Jersey shore. he has been back for a couple of class reunions... he gets there early and stays til the end. Then he takes everybody out to party.

The Departed is a fantastic movie and I agree, may have been his finest role.
