We've been lax in establishing any guide lines for the copying of all or part of copy righted material from other websites. I have to admit that I am probably the worst offender. But clearly the trend on the net is for the lawyers to seek out offenders and threaten them, over on NDNation where posting the full text of articles was common place it is no longer permited. They got threatening letters from lawyers. On the Texas boards that I read they haven't allowed it for several years now. I'm guessing that all of the boards both independent (such as BuckNuts, GatorCountry, NDNation, etc) and network sites (Rivals and Scout) have rules that cover this issue. From today forward you can only copy a couple of sentences from an article, maybe a paragraph if it is short or the article is long. You may summarize or make comments to give us a feel for the articles content, and then include a link to the full article. If you violate the rule we'll ask you to edit your post or edit it for you or delete the post. As I said since on our other boards we've been required to do this I don't see this as much of a hardship. You can continue to post images and youtube videos though. Bill, Tom and I are all in agreement on this issue. Thanks Terry
There are some fairly long posts that appear to be copy and pasted articles. Just reminding everyone of this...

Guys, There are several articles on this board, posted within the last few days, that are in violation of our copywrite rules. Beginning right now, anything posted that is not a short quote with a link to the article will be deleted. There will be no consideration given to who the poster is. The entire post will be erased. If you do not know how to link articles, please ask any moderator or anyone else that you see using links. Here is a short tutorial. I will use "{}" in place of "[]" in the first example so that the code does not work and you can see it. The second example will use "[]" in place of the "{}" in the first example to make the code work and show what it would look like. Example 1: {url=http://www.govolsxtra.com/news/2008/nov/27/higgins-kiffin-unqualified-be-coach-vols/?partner=RSS}Lane Kiffin unqualified{/url} This article is from Ron Higgins, a Memphis writer. {quote}If Tennessee athletic director Mike Hamilton hires unemployed 33-year-old Lane Kiffin as the Vols' next football coach, he's basically sending the following message to Tennessee fans: "I'm cheap and I'm easy."{/quote} Example 2: Lane Kiffin unqualified This article is from Ron Higgins, a Memphis writer.
Another situation has been presented. Even though it may not be considered 100% copyright protected, material copied from another board will need to have a link as well. Please do not consider the actions we take as anything other than protecting us as a group from any accusations.
Gracious, this has proven to be the most excitement on the Skybox all summer! My faith has been restored.
