Hey I needed to titled it so it could stay in sports. Here's four pictures of our little poodle who we will be picking up Nov 6 if everything goes well. And a picture of her half brother when he was old enough to leave. This is about what ours will look like in the face, but not the white chest.
What, no comments about our beautiful little girl who is going to be a major Gator fan???? About 12 - 14 pounds of dynamite!
I'm all puppied out due to our new living situation. I have a half Jack Russell Terrier-Pitbull mix who runs on hyper power 24 hours a day. She's about twice this size now and a few months old. Everyone loves little Moxie because she's 'so cute' but she's the bane of my existence. And then there is Van Gogh. He is now 9 months old.. He's a 124lb half Bull Mastiff, half giant chocolate lab. I love this dog but due to his size he's the outdoor dog. While Moxie is the one tearing up the inside of the house, Van Gogh decided to do some teething on a water spout outside our house. He managed to destroy the spout and pull the entire waterline system under the house off of it's moorings by 3 feet. Your puppy is adorable though Bill, congrats on the new addition.. I'm just all puppied out at the moment.
Puppies do test you sometimes. I've never heard of a Jack Russell/ Pit Bull mix though, that should be interesting.
I like both those dogs Corey. This dog will be our third straight poodle. Prior to that we had a smaller collie mix. She was not a house dog because prior to our first poodle the better half didn't believe in house dogs. She had a screened in back porch that was her domain. We are thinking of naming this one Killer.
Dogs are the best! Congrats Bill! I'd like another one, but haven't been able to pull the trigger after we got the house all fixed up... That and the wife and I can't agree on what the next one should be. She wants a yapping lap dog... I want one with some meat on his bones.
Scott, we are in agreement as to what kind of dog we want, a miniature poodle, so that classifies as a lap dog. Our previous two dogs were miniature poodles although quite different in size. The first one was 11 pounds and the one we lost last December was 23 pounds. The first one was a lap dog, the last one was almost to big to be considered a lap dog. But she was close enough and frequently sat in a chair with us. This one will be closer in size to our first one although probably a little bigger.
I'm not really much of a dog person, in fact my worst nightmare was that I would meet some woman I couldn't live without and she would have a poodle, or a cocker or a terrier or some other small dog. But I certainly understand how dog people love their dogs, whether they are big or small or somewhere inbetween. Glad you and Jeanne found your match!
But if the dog left you, it would have the decency not to hire an attorney and ask for half of your assets.....
  Thanks for your remarks about the dog Bobda. Her color is going going to be red and white. We asked for either chocolate or red and red became available. We haven't met her yet but have fallen in love with her pictures and would make a change for the world now.
Great picture, Tom! Scott, FWIW, we were a golden retriever family for many years. When my daughter couldn't keep her Bichon, we took him in with two goldens. I thought I never would like a small dog, but our goldens died within a few months of each other, and George Gipp was left as our only pet. He is a terrific companion. When I come home from work, he is so happy to see me that he greets me as if I'd been gone for a month. He is very easy to travel with and doesn't shed. Granted, we now are in the category of old folks, but I love the little guy every bit as much as I loved our goldens.
