Not only was this kid's dad a former NU player, but a scholarship player from the local area...hope you enjoyed your one and only season Josh...because if it wasn't a prank....Bo says..."Bye Bye".

That is stupid, but since the bikes were recovered and most likely will be returned to owners these guys will probably get off with probation and no felony conviction. Josh will probably be able to still play football even if Neb dismisses him from the team. He'll go some place else, say all the right things about how he's learned his lesson (hopefully) and has turned his life around.

A Rutgers QB got in a fight recently and kicked a guy who was down and that guy is severely injured. He's been dismissed by Rutgers, but if it turns out like the LSU incident where a couple of football players including the LSU starting QB beat the crap out of a guy in a fight outside a bar, he'll be back as well.

On a more important note though, what the hell is going on in St. Louis. I was signing on to be a fan of the next World Championship Cardinal team...but they keep losing, below .500 now. Am I a jinx? Tell me things are going to be better and we'll still win the Division!! :!: :!:

    If the shoe fits.......

Just kidding, of course......but please don't start cheering for the Cubs or Reds.

Terry, re: the Rutgers QB, I read an article about it. The victim is fighting for his life. He has brain damage although the doctors don't know yet how severe. He's also a former Mankato HS football player who plays/played for a school somewhere west of MN (Idaho?). The QB transferred from Minnesota. I guess the injury in question happened when the QB kicked the kid in the head. This doesn't sound like a typical situation. There still is the possibility that the victim will die and the QB will be charged with manslaughter.

Had to laugh at how the Cubs lost last night to the Cards....extra innings.....bases loaded....and the Cubs pitcher hits the batter....walkoff HBP...whens the last time that happened?
