Dammit Terry, there is only one way to "out create" a guillotine to a farmer and that is to have a frozen field with no where to irrigate because of freezing weather....

I just watched $300,000 hit the ground and now we are experiencing May type weather that could have $2,400,000 hit the ground with abnormally warm weather if winter decides to arrive and freeze our ass and you show a frigging winter scene...What the hell....?

    AJ,

Johnny Stanton began this year as the #1 rated player in the nation and Santa Margarita was the #1 ranked HS team in the nation too. An injury to Stanton ended his season early and Santa Margarita went down the drain without him. He was injured in a 72-0 nuking of Carson HS of Los Angeles, but his coach played him anyway the following week against St. Bonaventure and he tore his ACL completely.

Here's what you need to know:

    - Stanton has always been committed to Nebraska.
    - Every school in the country wanted him before the injury.
    - It was a severe ACL tear, so he may not be able to help the Huskers his freshman year, but if he heals properly, Nebraska will have a bigger, better passer, than Taylor Martinez.
    - The player that Stanton compares with is Tim Tebow. He's a big, smart, tough kid.

I'm going to have to do some more research on this...I wonder why he committed so early to NU? Is there a tie there, or are we finally breaking through the recruiting wall?

This current class we have is shaping up into Bo's biggest and best rated so far. We are actually getting 4 stars again.

I've always said that in today's times these blue chip kids want to play right away, and the first few years Bo was redshirt happy. Maybe Nebraska is selling the "We need you NOW" line, and it's working.

His post game interview after the Cap 1 bowl he hinted that he might have made a mistake in who he redshirted this year because he had some awesome talent that didn't get showcased, but we will see them in 2013.
Maybe just deflection, but nobody around here has seen him that humble and serious before.

Back to Stanton...the kid looks outstanding. Reminds me of Scott Frost but a much better passer. I'm glad NU is going to honor the schollie, but I would think that's because of the amazing things they're doing with knees and ACL's today. We still got a year of Martinez left ( ), and that would give Stanton an additional year to get stronger and learn Becks system. The one clip you provided JOCO had the reporter saying that Stanton will heal up to the point that he could contribute to NU next year. That is a positive outlook.

NU's problem is simple; we are finally back on offense. We can score points against anybody. The problem is WTF happened to Bo's Defense, and when do we get NU OL's of the past? Fix those, and Husker eyes will be smiling again.

Oh, and somebody please put a Nancy Kerrigan hit out on Martinez.
