2 JUCO CB'S in the last 2 days. Both 6-1, 190 lbs, 4-5 to 4-4 speed...we need these guys like we need oxygen. Keep it going BO!! choo choo....do ya hear it boys and girls?
Don't you guys have a QB recruit from Dayton Texas? His team is deep into the playoffs and he's doing extremely well, at least I think he's a Neb commit. In Texas the newspapers aren't allowed to aknowledge a turncoat!
Sorry for hijacking your topic AJ. I must have selected reply rather than new topic. Anyway, I moved both messages into the Tennessee recruiting topic.
CODY GREEN...6-4...220...4.6....Dual threat QB. Graduates this month and plans on enrolling for Jan classes at NU.
I'm not saying that this kid is or isn't good. I'm just asking how long till he is 'the guy' Are you guys viewing him ala Clausen or Tebow where the kid was brought in and people thought he was going to play right away?
HH, This last long post appears to be copied from another source. If it is, that is a violation. Please go back and link to that article or please erase it. We do not want the Skybox to find trouble with other outside sites.
yeah you need to quote a paragraph or two, certainly no more than 25% of the article and then link to the actual source. Terry
Corey, you know he's good or he wouldn't have you askin' about him... Don't know. I thought that he was graduating early and would enroll this month for classes, but that last article kinda contradicted that. Patrick Witt, 2nd string, has had the most PT obviously than anyone not the starter. Good size and quickness, and has been in Shawn Watson's system for 2 years. Unless anyone else comes in and blows him away during spring, he'll be the guy next year. Barring injuries God forbid.
I see you have 2 QB's in this class, a kid from Caliyfornia as well. Looking at your class over all it's not esp impressive in terms of star value. But I imagine that you aren't too concerned about that at this point. The question will be has Bo got an eye for talent and can he develope that talent. But when looking at Classes I see that USC is obscene with the star value of their players. Their avg recruit is over a 4*, no other team is even close in terms of star power. I also note that 1/3 of your class is from Texas...can you make it on Mack's rejects??
Rankings Smankings...Dr. Tom very raely got into the top 10 of recruiting. Most of these kids have good position sizes and speed, the rest can be taught. Re: Star Power: I ain't buying it in todays times. To many great HS atheletes coast to coast nowadays. It's always been attitude, Heart and Desire at NU...I believe those attributes can be taught. I'll be the 1st to say that we better see some more improvement next year or we'll still have trouble competing for those so called 5-Star brats.
Thanks HH. You make a mistake... it is pointed out to you... you correct it... what a concept. If only more people could work this way.
Well your boy Cody Green leads his team into the state championship game, too bad that in Texas we have two divisions for each class. If we didn't he would get to face off with the Texas signee Garret Gilbert in the state finals as he has lead his team into the state championship in the other division. Should be interesting down the road. Garrett is considered the top QB in the state this year, 70% completion, 300yds/game, 51 TD, 7yds rushing per attempt. Think Eric Crouch who has all the throws. Your boy Green is also having a great year and LSU's top singnee Russell Sheppard is being hailed by LSU fans as the starter from day 1.
Cody Green is OURS! No flaking here. Young man is enrolled and starts classes next week. The train just got bigger and redder....
A lot of excellent QB's in the state of Texas this year that we should be hearing from in a couple of years. Besides Cody Green to Neb, Garrett Gilbert to Texas, Russell Shepard to LSU, Texas Tech got a good one as well I just can't remember his name.
