Nebraska '95.....not all that good

......the Gators just didn't show up in my estimation.

LSU beat ND like a drum not because the Tigers had more talent than ND but of course because ND just didn't want to play...failed to show up if you will.

You're right George....most people have a right to their own opinion on this board....most people.

For instance I disagree that Ohio State didn't come ready to play....and I was called "dumb" for believing that as my opinion and also because I disagree with both being called dumb and with Bill's opinion that Ohio State did not show up the topic was locked.

Seems to me that others may be allowed to disagree and state their own opinion but if Bill disagrees with that then the line is crossed.

All anyone has to do is get their dander up about my opinion and even if they are the ones that make it personal somehow it's me that brought it on.

Like I said.....I could say that Bama was lucky Florida didn't "show up" in 2005 but you know what...I am man enough to admit that Florida was outcoached, outmotivated and basically overwhelmed by the whole experience and had their asses handed to them by the Crimson Tide.

My opinion of the UF-Ohio State game is identical to the above.

 

You guys won convincingly, you had the top class of recruits, you have arguably the best basketball team...and you still find away to have some sort of complex over the game? Good Grief Man....

I don't think MCG has a "complex" as regards the BCSCG. He doesn't agree with the opinion that "OSU lost because they didn't 'show up'" and has expressed as much. Then .... he is called "dumb as a stump" and a "loser" ...... for expressing his differing opinion.

Frankly, I don't care what anyone wants to call me .... a little humorous and a bit ironic AFA I'm concerned .... but maybe MCG doesn't like the erroneous personal insults thrown his way.

And George ..... at the present .... it is a little tough for the vast majority of Gator fans to "move on" as the last 12 months have been a period of significant achievement for the top 2 athletic programs at UF. Over the last 52 weeks, UF football and basketball are a combined 49-4 with national championships in both football and basketball, SEC titles in both basketball and football, and an SEC BB tourney title. Presently, UF is the only school to ever hold both FB and BB national titles and only the 4th SEC school to hold both conference titles ..... and the 1st in 30 years. Then throw in a great football signing class just 3.5 weeks ago. :wink:

A good time to celebrate.

AJ......if you think the Gators showed up for that game you my man are as du....no...wait a minute....Florida did in fact show up and what an ass beating....The Big Red Machine kicked the living crud out of UF in that one.

FWIW I did not call MCG dumb...I said that anybody holding the opinion that we showed up with our A game was dumb...I said that I didn't think he really held that opinion.

I do not consider him dumb and I do not consider GaterZ dumb.

If they really have the opinion that Ohio State put out the best effort that they could have, then I have to either consider them dumb or retract the statement.

MCG, for the record I am not kissing any ones ass, what I do is try to put myself in the other guys position and treat them the way I would like to be treated.

If I had been home all day I would have locked this topic earlier.

But I'm locking it now and giving you, yes you MCG, some advice to grow up and act like an adult.

And you want to take this up with me, or for that matter any of the Moderators, then use e-mail because if you start another one like this one I will lock it again and if that doesn't work take further measures.

Since you want to air it out in public though I will tell you this, I'm ashamed fellow Gators haven't learned to win with the same class that other people around here have learned to do, whether they win or loss, do it with class.

And while I'm at it I'm tired of limiting my postings because of getting caught up in the same turmoil so I'm going to see to it that I can discuss with other fans here in the manner that the Skybox Philosophy has always stated.
