Did you guys have a 100K at the Spring Game again? I watched the ND Srping Game and we had a sparse looking crowd..20-30K. I saw clips of the Gators Spring game and their crowd looked pretty sparse, I think LSU only had 18K at their spring game.

BTW: How do you like your Field Turf? Would you rather that they still had grass?

ND had around 28-29,000, which is about normal. I don't recall that we've ever had more than low to mid 30s. Perhaps someone can correct my memory. I see it as a function of the geographic spread of ND fans far beyond a 100 mile radius vs. the geographic concentration of fans of a centrally located state school program like, for example, Ohio State.

61,722 in the Motherland Saturday. Reds 55 Whites 46

Pelini's been doing new stuff the last 2 years. Half way through they ran practice drills for the crowd that nobody gets to see because of closed practices. Each team was awarded bonus points to the scoreboard based on drill performance.

There was even a passing competition between Pelini and WR Kenny Bell, who could hit the goal post from 30 yards out. Bell won on the 2nd toss. Pelini benched him.

Player of the game was Brandon Reilly, a walkon WR who caught and ran for a 100
