    Sid,
I guess I'll have to wait until January to start one for Alabama

On the positive side Irish basketball both Men and Women are doing very well, it's early though and lot of games to play but both are undefeated.

Irish men polished off Iowa last night and the Ladies will be in Iowa City tonight for a game with the Iowa women.

speaking of humor, using 'big' to refer to the Florida game might be a bit hyperbolic :)

I see you guys are tied at 4 SECCG wins each. This will be the tie breaker.

As for the Irish, I guess it's just a lot of wait and see.

Ha! Saban would chew me out for looking beyond the next game and actually I agree with him. Florida and Alabama have played a lot of good games in the last 25 years or so. The SEC Championship is a big deal to me and we must win this one to move on.

Irish women took down Iowa last night in a game I watched most of and it was ugly basketball IMHO. But a win.

Must be the Werner kid, certainly is a disappointment as he was a really good player. He is likely to end up at Ohio State.

Yeah that's pretty damned funny this year.

But.... you have to admit that when playing for the SEC Championship UF and Alabama have built up quite a history with each other.

But.... as Kp has often corrected me.... playing Florida ain't no big deal to an Alabama fan....

Trick is for Florida to beat Alabama and it will become a Big Deal to every Tide fan rather quickly...

Dave, as usual you have a knack accurate assessments. In the past you have stated that Florida is Alabama's rival. Alabama may be Florida's rival but Florida is not Alabama's rival. Florida is Alabama's opponent in the SEC Championship Game and the SEC Championship game is a "big" game for Alabama. 8)

Jack ended any speculation on the return of Kelly for 2017 in his Wed night show with Jack Nolan. Was very supportive of Kelly and would be meeting with him soon (yesterday) to discuss the program moving forward. Not surprisingly it was met with scorn from the online fanbase, including a demand that ND fire Swarbrick as well. Some feel that Fr. Jenkins should also be relieved of his position as he clearly has no feeling for what made ND the great institution it has become.

Meanwhile there are rumors that Mike Elston is likely to be named DCoord. I've seen some people express a desire for Jim Leavitt the former USF HC as DCoord but always have to also acknowledge that he hit one of his players which would likely make his hire a non starter at ND.

WR Corey Holmes announced that he's is transferring. The Irish need some kind of event to reverse the flow of bodies off this team or Kelly may have to strap on the pads.

Six players have been evaluated for the NFL draft. Kizer projected first round. The rest 4-7.

I think we are heading into a long, dry spell.

A couple of things to consider. If OSU gets into the playoffs its a good precedent for ND. OSU is sitting home on championship weekend and still gets into the playoffs over a conference champion. Second with Kaiser probably gone Holme's departure doesn't say much for his faith in Winbush. Oh well as the old saying goes "when the going gets tough, the not so tough go away."
