Since... <t>the Giants will be resting their wounded and the game means nothing to them I will be watching A&M versus PSU in the Alamo Bowl.</t>
NO.. Giants will NOT be resting players if they are in the game at end of first quarter. Everyone wants to be the first to knock out Pats. This will be most heavily watched football game ever.
I'm going to watch the Alamo Bowl as well, who cares about the Patriots and the Giants it's a meaingless game for the Giants. BTW: I really did object to that Idiot John Kerry injecting himself and the threat of govt investigations if the NFL network didn't do something to expand the telecast. How ridiculous, nobody in Texas cared if we got the game or not. Since when did seeing or not seeing a football game become the govt business. Terry
The word here in Giant country is that as many as six Giant starters will not play. I hope that is wrong but I expect the Giants are mailing this one in. Giants fans apparently believe it because they are dumping their season tickets to this game by the 1000's on E-bay so NE should have many fans there. I'll turn it on just to see if the Giants do indeed roll over. As soon as I see the starting lineups I'll either watch a little or immediately look for another game or a good action movie.
... no doubt George..its a Pats HOME GAME. All kinds of fans going down to see history. I wouldnt be surprised to see 30,000 N.E fans. Its interesting for me and many Rhode Island fans. Pre 1960 when the AFL came into being..The Giants were the team of choice for this area. Some have maintained their Giants relationship. The game itself will be determined in first quarter. If Giants stay close, you will see them go all out to win.
Watch.. <t>How long the regulars stay in there and for what? That is lip service as they could care less about this game. Same for dallas versus the desperate Redskins. <br/> <br/> Aggies / Penn St in my house and thanks Rick for the heads up on the Zona game. Nice matchup.</t>
Do not for one minute think Giants dont want to win this game! Do you realize what a confidence builder it could be? Dont you think Levi ( or whatever the hell his name is) doesnt want to polish up his passing game against the best? Wouldnt it instill some "fear" into Tampa Bay if Giants would win this game? Do you think Giants want to give up the record breaking TD passes? Football players PLAY FOOTBALL..Giants will give it all they have.
Jif... <t>get off the egg nog already. They have one thing in mind the first round of the playoffs and getting people healed as it should be.<br/> <br/> Regaular season is done and now the real players take center stage.<br/> <br/> No NFL at my house this weekend.</t>
History isn't made till they finish the season unbeaten Joel, don't win the Super Bowl and they fall short of the Dolphins.
nobody cares <t>if you do it, its been done before.<br/> <br/> if you don't, you fall short of the dolphins.<br/> <br/> either way, its been done...and no one cares about this game. only those in the media who didn't play the game are calling for the Giants to suit ip and go after it. Everyone else knows the reality. The Giants will tank and look to build some depth out of this game. Nothing more, nothing less.</t>
if they "DO"...its 19.... miami was I believe 17. Giants can build "depth" by PLAYING FOOTBALL....not lying down. !!!. If Giants were playing a team with a losing record....THEN THEY LIE DOWN!!
uhm sooo <t>does that mean if Moss breaks Jerry Rice's record that its diminished because Rice did it in (alot) fewer games?<br/> <br/> nope. you line em up and you play em. The Pats played more games but the league wasn't as watered down as it is now via expansion. That's why you don't do silly cases like this.<br/> <br/> No one cares until they win it all. And if/when they do that, people will already be talking about next year.</t>
Not to mention that the Patriots play in the absolute worst division in the NFL, they wouldn't be where they are if they played in the AFC South.
