8) Straignt from the official stats of Ncaa.org/Div1 The differences between Navy and Notre Dame this year are flip-flopped 180 degrees.....AND.....Abysmal in their differences. Here we go RUSHING OFFENSE Navy is # 1 at 342.88 ypg Notre Dame is dead last at #119 at an incredible 34.13 ypg Total Offense Navy is # 16 at a huge 450 ypg Notre Dame again at dead last, #119 at 187 ypg Sacks Allowed Navy ranks #20 Notre Dame, bottom of the barrel at #119 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Some folks here may not like it.......but.....facts are facts and from the numbers Navy should have no problems as they scored 52 points and almost won their last game. Hey, ND can and might win.....but my oh my.....how things have changed for the former patsy service academies not to speak of the supposeably venerable powerhouse ND. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ My prediction, short of a miracle, Navy wants this one real bad ND loses
I'm sure I could find a HS with better stats than Miami but what the hell would that prove? So Navy has stats built up against the likes of Deleware. I guess that's the same as playing USC, Mich. UCLA, etc. Navy nearly beat Tenn. last year, they beat Pitt this year. Servoce academies are not "patsies" otherwise they would be found on the schedules of schools like Wisconsin and K State.
As ususual, its another autumn Saturday in Miami and absolutely NOTHING is going on in college football locally.
Er, uh, Gip! Navy did not play Tennessee last year. i don't believe I remember them playing Tennessee in my lifetime. It was the zoomies from Air force that almost beat Tennessee with Cindy and I in attendance. They knew that their offense was gassed and were probably doomed in overtime so they went for the 2 point conversion to win rather than kicking for the tie. They even tried an unsuccessful onsides kick afterwards.
You're right, I just looked at the results of the Air Force vs Navy games for 05-07 and Navy won all three. Navy would have stood a better chance beeting us than Air Force. :?
NAVY WINS..............1-8....wow DONE WITH THE STREAK OF BEATING THE PATSY SERVICE ACADEMIES Go MIdshipmen
George... <t>Good point for humidity head. I am so disgusted with what I saw today from players performances to preperation from coaches I refuse to comment .<br/> <br/> ROCK Freakin Bottom !! <br/> <br/> And AF will have fun with us next week.<br/> <br/> Currently watching LSU/Bama and Oregon/ASU. Now that is real college football.</t>
Navy should Maul Notre Dame <t>Krebs Miami s doing fine without a QB<br/> Still @ 5-4 and can finish strong<br/> Next season all kinds of positive things happen</t>

8) WORST CALL BY A COACH THIS SEASON Who wins it???.......Coach Weis, of course. Very Late in the fourth quarter....score tied.....Notre Dame driving deep into Navy's territory......field goal range.......a FG wins the game for ND Sooooooooo........what does the smartest coach in college football do?......instead of attempting a doable 42 yard FG to win........Coach Weis calls for a fourth and ten offensive play..........Play Fails.......Navy then wins in the third overtime. Thats the worst play called by a coach this season....brilliant deduction !!!
A 1-8 Irish team holds infinitely more fan appeal than a 5-4 Miami team. Its no wonder Gonzo is hanging out here; it's humiliating to be a Canes fan.
Krebs....try to include a bit more facts and figures in your posts....like I do. Weis is just a lousy coach.....facts show it
