My prediction on terror alerts...

    Karl "Terror" Rove started his war on America for keeping GOP, in power in 2006.

    Let's see if he wins it or loses it.

    Now:

    (1) Who slipped those nerve agents into the Senate building?

    (2) Since Bush saved the "Liberty" tower in LA, did we make any arrests? Do we have an iota of proof besides what this constantly lying mafia has to say?

    TB,

    you can't be for real.....surely you are one big April Fool's joke.

    I mean hell,
    the guys on the vidotapes that looked like and sounded like Bin-Laden and Al-Zawahari were really Ronald McDonald and the Easter Bunny in their best bedraggled desert drag.

    Their threats to attack my country and my family surely can't be credible because their past efforts to murder innocent women and children in the subways of London, the Spanish rail system, etc were simply a figment of the worlds collective imagination....the WTC still stands and there are no widows or orphaned children. The gash in the Pentagon is simply a nefarious cover-up by the administration.

    Hell, I can't understand how anybody could take those guys seriously.....

    btw, Al Qaeda's Southeast Asia leader, known as Hambali, had recruited Jemaah Islamiyah operatives for the plot to attack the LA tower. Hambali was arrested in 2003 in Thailand. But then again, the Thai authorities are probably lying too.....

    Picture this for a moment....somebody sends TB a video threatening to blow up his house after having completely destroying it on a prior occasion. The person has just recently blown up the homes of TB neighbors and friends. TB, in an effort to rid the world of these nasty fellas, launched a missile at one these bad boys and just missed him but instead whacked his son-in-law.....the local authorities get in touch with TB and warn him that perhaps the bad guys may seek to do him and his family harm.....

    TB response,
    Bizarre.......

    Terry

    Nerve agent detection

    <r>Automatic Continuous Air Monitoring System (ACAMS) are employed when near real-time detecting is required as a warning. An ACAMS is a gas-chromatograph that recognizes signatures SIMILAR to those given off by the desired agent after separation. In the case of Sarin (GB), Fluorine ions are detected. For VX, Sulfur ions are detected. For Mustard (H, HD, HT, HL), Chlorine ions are detected. The reason ACAMS are only near real-time is that the air must be sampled before it can be analyzed. Each cycle takes about 5 minutes.<br/>
    <br/>
    At facilities where it is suspected an agent attack/release may occur, it is likely they employ Agent Air Monitoring System (AAMS, or in the case at DOD facilities, they are DAAMS, for Depot) for VERIFICATION purposes. Verification is used when an ACAMS goes into alarm, or on a set sampling cycle to verify/rule out an agent release. This verification takes longer since you actually have to pull the sample tube from the machine and run it through a spectrometer, which is much more precise at identifying which compounds have been collected on the pad.<br/>
    <br/>
    Due to the fact that ACAMS only look for a component of the sampled-for agent, false alarms are possible (and likely in some cases). These are called interferents. A positive interferent can cause a false positive reading (such as some chlorine-based cleaners in the case of HD) whereas a negative interferant can mask a true release, giving a false no-alarm. Depending on the setting (action level) of a particular monitor, it is actually possible to set them off from the methane in a body's gaseous emmanation. Because of this, facilities keep a strict list of known interferants so they can keep such false alarms to a minimum.<br/>
    <br/>
    That being said, it is HIGHLY unlikely that ANYONE smuggled GB or VX (the most common nerve agents) into the Senate building, MUCH less it being a governmental action. How do you sleep at night if you truly believe there are those in this government would take such action? If I were that neurotic and paranoid I don't know that I'd be able to survive outside of a titanium coffin. You simply amaze me at your ability to do so, as well as read the absolute worst at every possible turn by our elected leaders. <E>:roll:</E></r>

    Here's my predicition of Tailbacks next prediction.

    Sometime soon something will happen that he doesn't like. Tailback will put the worst possible twist to it in a way that it can be blamed on Bush.

    It will be Bushes fault no matter what the topic is.

    It must be terrible to harbour that much hatred for Bush and live in a Red state that is fully behind our president.

    The reaction of California Democrats has been laughable. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosso of Los Angeles called a news conference to say how insulted he was that the president didn't call him first before making this announcement... Maybe the president would have if the Democrats had any credibility on national security issues. This whole argument began when this super-secret, bipartisan program was leaked to the media by Senate staffers of the lib/Dems who simply wanted to embarrass the president; regardless of the damage it did to our country.

    Did you see Diane Foolstein? She had the same look on her face that she did the night Walter Mondale chose Geraldine Ferraro over her as his vice presidential running mate and she sounded the same too. She mumbled something about "This is an old rumor that we've heard before..." Then (as she always does) she self-importantly suggested that she knew all about this, because she is on the Senate Intelligence Committee and they were informed about all of this long ago...

    Say WHAT? If she knew that Mr. Bush had been using this program to save the lives of Californians on several occassions, then she also knew damn well that he was NOT doing anything illegal or anything that she and other lib/Dems hadn't approved of! She virtually admitted that she has been kept informed of everything the president has been doing every step of the way...

    The lib/Dems lied...and the truth died.

    Tom, None of you have ever read a post from me saying I "hate" George W Bush. That word doesn't exist with me. There's no one on this Earth I hate. I'm no fan of George W Bush, but that doesn't mean I hate him. That's just not the case.

    Hey, if they found who the real Anthrax mailer was, I wouldn't have much issues. They didn't.

    Or if they have been a bit more credible in the past. They weren't.

    Bush mafia will try to keep that dumb America dumb, but the my real question is, will it be successful? I hope not.

    "Terror" works as a remedy for everything - NSA wiretaps, Patriot Act, tax cuts, budget deficits, Abramoff, DeLay, and what not.

    P.S. Most of you didn't read my prediction Jan. 19th. The software for The Skybox changed, my thread was lost... Here's how it went...

    A prediction.

    Starting today, we will have monthly and bi-weekly terror alerts, orange alerts, red alerts and possibly Anthrax-kind incidents leading up to 2006 elections.

    There is more at stake for the powers today than ever.

    God Bless America.

    Tailback , we already have these alerts and have been for quite some time. The general public doesn't know, but those in certain industries are frequently warned.

    Got a cheap stock for you to look at.

    ABTG.OB

    It's a development stage company that uses electrical lines as a conduit for internet service. Just plug in your modem and you are connected just like cable and DSL. They have a successfull model in NYC a 220 unit condo.

    A friend of mine works for Con Ed, a major power company. Con Ed is a partner in this venture and provides funding.

    Tailbak, I will only make one more comment, for now at least.

    One doesn't have to use the word hate to have it come of their mouths.

    Or keyboard.

    There are rumors in central Texas of the local energy provider, TXU Electric, providing this same service.

    There are many areas where cable and DSL just are not available. Mine is one of them. If this really works, this company can be in a very good position!

    KES!

    That was strong.....not to worry, the radical left and their TB-like lemmings have never let facts and science interfere with their arguments. It only stands to confuse their base.

    For example, TB has opined that concerns regarding the enemies of the civilized world and their desire to do us harm is all just a vast governmental conspiracy....and better yet, in perhaps the greatest example of denial in the history of mankind, TB seeks proof?????? WTF?

    Reliant has tested that capabilty but has annouced that if and when it's implemented that it will be for remote reading of meters and stuff like that. They have no current plans to get into the internet business.

    On another front though. If you have a wireless network in your house with some dead spots there are now some products available to help you out with that. My nephew put in a wireless range extended that uses his electrical wiring in his home. Specifically his daughters room was a dead spot or weak spot. You plug one unit into the wall where you have your router and connect that unit to the router, then put another unit pluged into the wall where you have your dead spot and you have another access point. Pretty slick.

    Right now, unfortuneately for the country, the Democratic parties entire platform is George Bush. The hate him, they revile him, Clinton had a cakewalk with White Water, Foster, Missing FBI files mysteriously turning up in Hillarys office, Monica, and his pardoning of a slew of felons when he left office.

    I think Americans would respond to a well thought out alternative to the Republican strategys. I watched an Interview of Howard Dean about a year ago and the interviewer wanted to know the Democrat plan for Soc.Sec since they thought the Bush plan was horrible and he said they had a plan but they weren't telling anybody because the Republicans would just pick it apart. Oh yeah that's the way boys, say you have a plan but don't tell anybody the plan.
