Looks cherry! How many miles do you have on it? Are parts a problem? Do you let your wife drive it? :)

Pretty cherry...picture was about 5 yrs. ago...store it Nov. thru Mar.

Parts not too much problem with internet...had to order some off eBay that the dealer couldn't get...lots of Mustang sites as well.

    70,000 miles.

Wife allowed to drive it. She doesn't like driving it...suspension pretty firm (the car...not her's).

Kids as teens were allowed to drive it on special dates once they proved to me their ability and responsibility. (Now the youngest is 28 and I don't trust any of them. )

Has a lot of torque so clutch is heavy...sometimes a bit hard on my bum left knee.

Nice car Stu! Didn't know you were a gear-head. 8)

There are TONS of sites that offer nothing but Mustang "Fox platform" parts.
The 5.0 engine was around so long, that also shouldn't be a problem.

I had a red 94 GT. That was the year they finally did a redesign away from the fox.
The 5.0 is an easy engine to work on... not too big, but can give big power with a few simple mods.

I've been tempted to modify it, Scott...I've seen all the stuff you can get.

But it's pretty much original condition.

Added a CD player and satellite radio. 8)

Never heard it called a "Fox" platform...it is an old Ford Fairlane platform, if I recall correctly.

I've been told that devalues a car to have modern upgrades installed. Of course if you aren't hoping to show it someday it doesn't matter. One of my brothers neighbors in Austin has a business where he takes classic cars and upgrades them to modern standards...ie disk brakes, better A/C, sound system, etc. They look the same on the outside but wouldn't qualify in any show.

Well, I'd think they'd allow a radio upgrade...the Satellite radio is just a little car module that velcros on...strip that off and yank the antenna wire and tada...it's gone.

Got the CD player/radio from my son...when he was at Ohio University in Athens somebody broke into his car and got the radio (aftermarket) by ripping his whole dash off. He got an insurance settlement and a new dash and radio...then the Police call him up and told him they had recovered his dash...including the radio. He called the insurance company and they didn't want it.

So he offered it to me and we installed it in the Mustang, because my radio was just the old AM-FM standard radio.

Oh...I also added rear seat belts, which it did not come with.

The fox platform was Ford's name for it... like Chrysler's "K" car... etc.
You can read all you ever wanted to know here:

    Ford Fox

Don't worry about the radio changes devaluing it, that wouldn't come into play until it's an antique. Besides... as you said you can always reverse the changes.

I was VERY tempted to add cold air intake, aluminum heads with roller rockers, and tuned headers with expanded exhaust... but didn't have it long enough to make the changes. That would have given me a minimum gain of 80HP.
A supercharger was also on my list, but that's a major job and when it's your daily driver that kind of upgrade is a little scary...

Below is an idea of what mine looked like, but it was red instead of yellow. I also had the optional 17 inch wheels seen in the pic...

Funny how things change. At the time that car was low and sporty. Compared to my new Z, it looks like it has the ride height of a truck!!

New toys like yours are always better...

But there is always something to say for an old friend you've had for 22 years...especially when it has a little git up and go.

    Thanks for the link.
