Don't they have a hole in the locker room floor in the Swamp they can drop him into, just put a grill over it and drop his food and water down to him. Call it the Kooler and have somebody who looks like Col. Klink and Sgt. Schultz man it for security purposes.  Besides MCG has testified that Gainesville police are out to get Gator football players, it was probably planted on him as a shot across Muschamps bow to let him know who is boss.
Important test for any new coach....how he deals with his first disciplinary issue will establis a tone and set a precedent going forward...
Not just Gainesville police... I do believe these campus "almost" cops on these idydillic campuses are just hamming it up these days when they bust a high profile football player. But the players might as well get to used to it because that's pretty much the way it is for all players everywhere. Possessing a personal use amount of MJ is sooooooo much worse than having your daddy try to extort $180,000.00 out of the university...
He is a junior who was projected as an NFL first rounder but he chose to stay for his Senior year so he could party down obviously.....right.. I am sure he is having second thoughts as reads about how many games he might be suspended etc.....
Since he was nabbed inside a nightclub bathroom I was wondering if he's 21. As far as pot goes, I smoked a little weed when I was that age and have no recollection of it being beneficial in any way other than to insure I was broke a lot. As far as cops preying on college kids goes...... my son just stopped two bozos on the NJ Turnpike because they passed him while smoking a joint in plain view. He said they were both wasted and ended up in cuffs for DUI. On the way to the barracks one of them lectured my son on the victimless nature of smoking weed. Scott told them that he didn't care whether they smoked or not, his job was to enforce the law, not to interpret it. So these two idiots spent $200 for an ounce of seeds and stems, lose their DL for six months, pay huge court costs and fines, pay a four figure insurance surcharge to the state AND get their insurance premiums jacked through the roof. Now, who's the dummy here? Same thing applies to the UF kid. Use your head!
"Since he was nabbed inside a nightclub bathroom I was wondering if he's 21." He is a senior this year....probably is 21 but I don't know for sure but at age 20 something what college kid can't get into a bar? I wonder if the cop was plain clothes and covertly looking for something like that or was Jenkins walked in on by a cop in blue? In any event kids have done worse and he wasn't real smart brandishing it public and I don't condone it for football players especially because they have to drug test and can get into trouble easily with it. For others like my own kids I don't recommend it and I don't approve of it but I also think being arrested and fined and/or jail time or whatever for possession of it is excessive. That is my own opinion on MJ and shared by many but certainly not all.
