I drove Mrs. JO'Co to the hospital this morning. She couldn't breath, walk or sleep. Her heart rate was 176, and her legs and feet were swollen. They said that she was close to having congestive heart failure, so changes will have to be made around here.

Yes, indeed. Has her new chair arrived yet? I think it'll do her some good to have some time to put her feet up and rest when this is done.

I visited Diane last night. She has congestive heart failure, with A-fib, but everything is under control now. Her heart rate was at 186 when she went in, but it's under 100 now. Her lungs were filling with fluid, but they're clear now. I'm hoping she'll get to come home either today or tomorrow.

CHF is treatable. She can continue to live a good life for many years with proper medication. Praying for a quick recovery and her return home.

Good news. Mrs. JO'Co is back home right now. She has a walker and five different kinds of pills, but she's out of the hospital finally.

from what I can gather when I call, she's in good spirits and seems to be realistically approaching her upcoming life changes. There was one morning where she was a little frantic, but the rest of the time, she appears to be doing good.

Corey, your mother is an example to us all of love, loyalty, and strength in the face of adversity. Look at how you're handling your own situation. The combination of your dad's and mom's genes provide you with strength and courage far beyond that of so-called normal people. Thank God for wives and mothers. They are the backbone of the family, even when their health is compromised.
