I guess it's official and Moody is indeed transferring to Florida.

Gaterz, in answer to your question on the other topic, I was surprised we were in the mix for Moody but by the time the announcement came today I wasn't surprised.

I hope he's as good as advertised.

Former USC running back Emmanuel Moody said Monday he will transfer to Florida.

"I followed my heart," said Moody, the Trojans' second-leading rusher last season. "It's when you get that feeling that you know something is right and you can't really describe."

Moody ran for 459 yards and two touchdowns at USC, averaging a team-high 5.8 yards per rush last season. He said he left the program because of the depth at his position, citing a "business decision" and his need to be the featured back.

Of the Gators, Moody said, "They get their playmakers the ball."

Well, based upon quotes attributed to him about wanting to be "the guy" I didn't think he'd end up in Gville. I hope (and expect) all of that was addressed by Meyer, Mullen, and Drayton and there are no misunderstandings as regards .... team comes first. From his comments today, he's saying all of the right things.

There's been a lot of pub surrounding this transfer. If for whatever reason he doesn't have a good career at UF, we'll read and hear a lot of second guessing. So it goes.
