The first game is tonight. The writer of this piece thinks like I do. He takes to task those, especially from the east coast (Are you listening, Joel? ) who say a) no one will watch the WS, and b) the NFL is better.

I'm Going To Enjoy The World Series

I won't watch because locally Cablevision is in a contract dispute with FOX and the FOX network has been blacked out for almost two weeks. 25-30 million viewers in the NY-NJ-CN market ain't watching the Series.

Don't turn it on tonight. The Giants got to Cliff Lee. As I write this, they're ahead 8-4 and at bat in the bottom of the 8th.

The bottom of the 8th made the 3 run 9th for Texas a non-issue. If the Giants had not fired off a 3 run 8th, it could have been interesting at the end.

    Interesting trivia fact.
Benjie Molina will get a WS ring no matter which team wins. He apparently played enough games with SF to qualify for a ring with them.

There's a lot of humor on the sports talk shows about this. For example, what if he strikes out for the last out of the WS, and the Giants win? Does he drop his bat and run to the pitchers mound to join the Giants' celebration?

Trivia question (not difficult): How many Molina brothers currently are playing in MLB, what positions, and what teams?

I think (not sure) there were four Alou brothers. Hint: It's less than four.....and obviously more than one or I wouldn't have asked the question.

Jesus, Matty and Felipe. Saw them all play in person. Not aware of a fourth.

Thanks, George. I guess it just seems like there were four or five.

Hint: There are 3 Molina brothers in MLB. Most will know of 2 for sure. Some will not be able to guess the third.
