Well that's at least how they're reporting the results of today's game with Iowa here. First there was a TD pass that was ruled incomplete and then on the final play the claim is that there was interference on the M receiver. This alwys seems to happen to the Skunkbears. Geez, why is it then that when we play them and they're supposed to supply the refs, they alway bring Big Ten refs with them? :?
I think the UM kid made the catch but since the call was incomplete there wasn't indisputable evidence he caught it. I think if the ref had called it td that wouldn't have been overturned either. I also think there was pass interference on the last play. Of course being a ND fan and on the short end of many calls by B10 refs.... I don't feel their pain!
It did look like Michigan should have scored......but they still would have needed a two point conversion which is never a given
I'm sorry....which league is it again that never has contraversial calls? FWIW I thought they were bad calls, too.
On the td pass, the replay looked like the tip of the ball hit the turf. The ref got it right. On the pi call, it didn't look any more egregious as any of the other no-calls in the game. Everything looked pretty evenly caled while I was watching.
