After 2012. I do think scheduling for ND going forward is going to be more work with conferences going to 9 game schedules. Although interestingly there is continuing talk around here of Texas going independent.
Maybe, who might have posted that? It's talked about all the time on InsideTexas, a lot of Texas fans believe that they now have the National appeal that Notre Dame has and could work their own TV deal, etc. The believe that is why DeLoss Dodds is scheduling the likes of USC and Notre Dame now, preparation for going independent.
Everything is large in Texas and that perception is extra large I think. ND has the Catholic contingent who either didn't go to college or who went to small schools as their fan base. What would Texas have other than ex-Texans or people who love BBQ?
They have the pecan pie fan base locked up, also. Lloyd began to look like a knockwurst on stilts after helping me scarf down a BAPP sent via Houston. He is a big Longhron fan, now, and wags his tail everying time he hears the words "Texas pecan pie". I don't mind a brief interlude in the series to add a little variety to the schedule. I thought Texas/ND have signed up for a 4 game series and it looks like a M/Alabama game is in the works. Since the BCS, M has dumbed down its non conference schedule. In 97, our out of conference victories were over ND, Colorado, and UCLA. Now, it is ND and MAC or MAC-light schools and I anticipate future schedules will run the pattern of 1 marquee school and three or four cupcakes although, in recent years, some of the cupcakes were embedded with glass and turned out to be inedible. My preference is that the break be brief since ND/M has developed into a great rivalry
Ohio State just added Colorado to next yr's schedule...gives us Miami (Fl), Colorado, Toledo, and Akron.
...and...fans of hot blondes with bodacious tatas. I know....I know....SouCal and Fla have hot blondes also but....do they have bodacious tatas?
