What a game, Michigan has played inspired all day long and leads in spite of 4 turnovers.

It's not over yet but unless the Gators hold on this next down it is over.

It looks like Florida will get the ball again with no timeouts and about 2 minutes to go.

I sincerely hope we win, but either way this Michigan team has controlled the game all day long and have played inspired football to send their coach out on a winning note.

I'll be back in a few minutes either to say congratulations to Michigan for a great win or in astonishment that we managed to pull it out.

Congratulations to Michigan. They played an inspired game today, Henne and Arrington were unbelievable on offense and the Michigan defense kept Tebow under pressure all day long.

A well deserved win for Michigan today and a great way for Carr to go out.

I'm hurting a bit, but this Gator team is very young and will be in the thick of the SEC and National picture next year.

    Congrats to Michigan.

Hart played well today for the Gators. Other than that it wasn't close. The Gator defense is fun to watch.

Hey could someone recap the game. I have difficulty watching those SEC teams they're just so fast it's hard to follow the action.

Point well taken gipper but I choose to give credit to Michigan, they were inspired and deserved to win.

I can't believe that Michigan turned the ball over three times inside the Gator two yard line and still won.

The ability to cover the Gator's WRs one on one enabled Michigan to turn loose the horses up front where they owned the LOS on both sides.

That Tebow is one tough customer because he was battered today from start to finish.

    Thanks Corey.

I have to say some more about number 16 he was incredible, one handed catches, we just had no answer for him and when we had an answer he caught the ball anyway.

Chalk one up for the Big 10, now if those Buckeyes can shake their SEC jinx....... I still have to say I don't expect it to happen. Florida is a good football team but their defense has been prone all season to big plays.

A very interesting game to watch for a non involved spectator! I really did not give Michigan much of a chance in this one.

Some unbelievable catches by Arrington and Henne had a great day. Hart really likes to trash talk, but he was effective.

Percy Harvin is a great back. How he manages to stay afoot when hit hard is beyond me.

Tebow had his hands full all day and took some real hard knocks.

While Michigan has been one of our most heated rivals, I was glad to see Lloyd and his senior class go out as winners.

This was an entirely different team than we beat in late November.

It was a great game for Michigan. I was surprised that they were even competitive, I had read that both Hart and Henne were still a little banged up but that apparnetly was wrong. Gators showed some explosiveness on offense but also showed some vulnerabilties, Gator defense was pretty much run over by UM. They will have to get much better to be Nat'l Championship contenders next year...but that's certainly possible as they are pretty young and will be bolstered next year by another outstanding recruiting class no doubt.

I was not surprised. I picked Michigan because I believed they had the potential and the big time talent to win the game if they could put it all together. The fact that this was Coach Carr's last game was exactly the incentive they needed to refuse to lose. What surprised me was that so many people were so willing to write them off as inferior to Florida before the teams ever hit the field. I did not see those differences.

Sid, I didn't pick Michigan but I happen to agree with your logic. I have said ever since last year we were not as much better as Ohio State as the score in that game or the statistics. Florida picked the right time last year to play their game of the year.

This year we ran into a team that did the same thing to us, and we lost. In fact the game was not as close as the score indicated.

Michigan was inspired and focused and was as healthy on offense as they have been.

That offense was the reason they were ranked #5 in the country coming into the season.

On the TOs yes Michigan lost opportunity but Florida had a TD called back because of an illegal procedure while down deep in Mich territory and eventually did not score as they had the FG blocked.

Also 3 of the TOs were the direct result of good defensive plays by Fla ( I can't believe I said that ).

Great game by the Michigan coaching staff and players.

What Sid said. I played M in this game based on the emotion factor alone.

This game can best be summed up in this post from a Gator fan who attended:

    http://www.gatorsportsforum.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=208256

    Pretty decent analysis.

I thought our playcalling at times especially at the end of the game left a whole lot to be desired. Tebow should have been directed to look for #7 Ingram I believe instead of homing in on Harvin so much on the last 2 possessions. Michigan was ready for the play calls as called.

And more from the more critical crowd:

As you can tell....the fans are restless about the coaching today as am I.

I have to wonder where was the imagination today for Florida.

I think that what a lot of fans miss when saying their team played poorly is that frequently that poor play has more to do with how well the other team is playing and that they are just not the best team on that day.

Michigan was the best team on the field with the Gators today.

I picked up a remark that Carr supposedly made to Meyer after the game, something along the lines of don't worry, someday you will retire and your kids will play for you like mine did for me today.

I think whether he said that or not that it's true and had a lot more to do with the outcome of the game today than any play calling on the part of the Gators.

Football is all about matchups. Ohio State did not match up with Florida's speed last year and lost. Florida could not match up with Michigan across either line of scrimmage and lost.

This is apparently what Meyer had to say after yesterday's loss. If true, file this under either "Unfortunate Comments" or "Teflon Man"

    "From His Post Game Presser:

Urban publicly blames his seniors after loss. This is a direct quote from Meyer after the game.

"Well, for those guys who just put in their time and didn't make any real contributions, it's time for you to go. It won't be hard to say goodbye to some of those guys who just went through the motions. Now for those kids who actually bought into the program, and who made some sacrifices and contributions -- you know, like Bubba Caldwell....he's a graduate of UF and had a great career -- you'll really miss those guys. But just because you're a senior doesn't mean you have any value."

Michigan did a great job of taking away Florida's only offensive weapon. Pressure/contain Tebow and you take away the vast majority of Florida's offense. Easier said than done I know but Florida needs a real running back. Harvin can't be the running back and the wide receiver on the same play all of the time.
