More bravado and trying to build up youself or your football team at the expense of others. Don't run away from big games? When given the chance to join the SEC your team ran, not walked, to the Big East where you knew you could dominate. When that didn't work out real well you abandoned them for the mighty ACC. However right now the Big East looks better than the ACC. But back to the not running away, when your team had the biggest opportunity ever for the program they ran as fast as possible in the opposite direction. I think given that chance again, which won't happen, there might be a different decision. Have a nice day.
They open with 3 conference games, those are mandated they don't have a choice in the matter, Gonzo's acting like they went out and scheduled those instead of some patsies like Fla A&M, UCF and that powerhouse USF... OU is a good game though. Rest are just the weak ACC schedule.
Gator Bill......you got guts chiming in on this subject when UF ran away from scheduling Miami on a yearly basis and very grudgingly did a sporadic sjchedule every two to three years with one still pending at the Swamp. Terry O' equally deserves to show constraint when it comes to Texas, a team that is lauded as great yet has a total of only 4 NCs in their history with only one in modern times ('05)....the Gators only have 3 while Miami has 5 and got robbed of a sixt NC by a crooked ref vs OSU The Gators reallly insult anyone playing, as usual, with non-con weaklies like Charleston Southern, Troy and Kentucky in three of their first four games.......compare that to Miami and see who has the courage and who doesn't
Uh Zo as I pointed out your 3 opening games are just conference games that you had no choice in the matter. For non-conference schedule you had the choice and chose powerhouses like Fla A&M, UCF, and USF...whooooooo all toughies. Then of course there is OU who will lay 60 points on you most likely. Oh yeah and does anybody even care about the FSU/Miami game anymore, both programs in a long slide to oblivion.
Gonzo, this will pretty much be my last word on this subject. Facts are facts, Miami was back on the Gator schedules in the early 90's, the SEC was moving to expanding to a 12 team league with two divisions and an 8 game SEC schedule. Arkansas was in, FSU declined and ran to the ACC. The SEC turned to Miami behind the scene, with Gator support as I remember, which would put us in the same division and playing every year. However the wisdom of your AD prevailed and Miami ran to the Big East. With and 8 game SEC schedule facing them and two strong in state rivals the Gators made the correct decision to only play only one in state rival out of conference. FSU was a better choice for the Gators and Miami lost out. The games that were on the schedule in the 90's were canceled and the two teams went their own way, Miami to the ACC and Florida staying in the SEC. So the final decision that ended the series for good was Miami running from the SEC. This isn't the old days Gonzo, I am not going to debate with you with your constant patting yourself and your team on the back and downgrading others. I might from time to time, like now, set the record straight from your unrealistic announcements. Other than that I see Terry is also setting the record straight.
And Gonzo expresses his wisdom as usual by stating that a SEC team (Kentucky) that is even in the same division (East) as the Gators is a non-conference game.
Gee, I wonder why former Miami schedule patsies don't play them anymore. Oh yeah now I remember http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FNypDGoC_8M

I'd post the NCAA record for personal fouls video...naturally it was set by Miami....but I can't find it.
