Just got off the phone with pops talkin' about MM and his roids admission...Dad says they (MM, SS, RP, BB) all should go to Jail for lying to Congress.... Anyway, here's the Trivia: There's 5 plaques in the OF area of Yankee Stadium that immortalize 3 persons that used to be Cardinals....name them.
And you assume correctly Gipper. Only 2 to go. Actually, after looking at monument park on the website, there's actually 5 plaques, but 3 are for the same guy. Hint?
No Sir. I do believe this is gonna be a hard one folks. You can google the 2nd name, but if your not thinking out of the box, the 3rd person is gonna stump you.
Miller Huggins Lou Gehrig's Babe Ruth Mickey Mantle Joe DiMaggio I don't think there any ex-Cards in that group. Now are you referring to retired numbers? I'll guess Red Ruffing and Yogi Berra.
AAAhhhhhh.......George got #2 using the shotgun method of elimination (frickin Jersey guys), MILLER HUGGINS it is. And George ask's the Magic question: It's a combo of Retired numbers and plaques. Only 1 more former Cardinal to go!!
The Knights of Columbus put up plaques to honor the masses held at Yankee Stadium by two different Popes. Both were former Cardinals.
LOL!! Bobda you da man!! The memorial park website I believe says 3, but Bobda figured out what i meant.
I went to Wiki and found out that the Huggins, Gerhig, Ruth, Dimaggio and Mantle were on the outfield wall before the remodling in the 70's. They then moved it and added more players. The current one has a lot of old Yankees in it and 1 player who never played for the Yankees or wore the red of a prince of the Roman Catholic Church. Can you name that player who never played for the Yankees? Terry
