God Bless the men who gave their lives for our country. Wheter the war be popular or unpopular one thing is consistent, the bravery of the men who actually fought in the war(s).
Watched parts of CNN Presents about the wounded in Iraq. These people aren't memorialized and neither are all of America's wounded vets but they should have own their day of appreciation. They pay one helluva price as exhibited by the young man who had both of his legs blown off by an IED.
Your definitely right. If you have HBO, look at their in demand channel and go to documentaries. There is one about Baghdad, and all the injuries that goes on there every day. Very graphic, but you don't realize how these hospitals get soldiers every day and not just one or two. Thank you men and women who have served for this country!
The Detroit newspaper this am listed all those KIA from Michigan and it is so sad at the youth of those killed. Usually 19-23 yrs. old. A front page story was on a young girl 19 yrs. of age from SW Detroit (Taylor). Wanted to be in the army her whole life it says and now she's dead at an age one year younger than my oldest of three sons. Heartbreaking and I hope like hell it is worth it.
