HERE WE GO BOYS! Time to get this season going and get this Irish team up and running!! It's MEDIA DAY 2008 style in South Bend Indiana!!! Hope all of the ND opponents enjoyed kicking dirt in the boys faces last year cause it ain't happening this year! I'm seriously looking forward to some butt kickings the Irish will deal out this year. 28 days till the redemption tour starts!!!
Sir, Yes Sir, pulse is checked and doublechecked! Heart is beating strong! Sir.  Tim love the new logo, I'm going to have to resize it for use on the Skybox though. Go Irish!! Terry
I expect the Irish will do much better and go to a bowl but not a BCS bowl this year. However with all the talent that Weis is accumulating in South Bend I expect Notre Dame will not only go to a BCS bowl in the future but challenge for the National Championship not long down the road.
Pulse <r>Wait a minute....wait...a...minute......<br/> <br/> The Huskerman is asking if we should check for a pulse in SB?<br/> <br/> With all due respect.......Better check things out in Lincoln first don't ya think? <E></E></r>
Ahh yes Tim.. the old "mind your own bobber' technique.. I love watching the difference in media days. Some programs are wide open, others are totally closed off. Its fun to watch. For example, here in AL the media is still going nuts over the fact that Nick Saban won't give them a depth chart.. In South Bend, we're lucky if Chuck lets us watch more than stretching and position work.
bowl <r>GB,<br/> <br/> I know I'm a little excited about the season but I don't see any reason the Irish should not win 8 this year and go to some kind of bowl. <br/> <br/> We'll talk about BCS bowls next year or the year after. I'll settle for a descent season and getting things back on track. <E></E></r>
No doubt our Husker friend has much to concern himself with, as bad as the Irish were last year we never gave up more than 40 points. The Huskers gave up 70 points twice and 40+ points 4 times......not good year for the black shirts. But like us our friend has hope! Terry
More good news, EJ Banks (CB/S) has given Charlie his verbal. DB's are looking very good these days, it seems like only yesterday when all our DB's were short and light. Now most of them are in the 6' range and have speed. Things looking up for the Irish. We are solid and young at DB and LB, still a little thin on the DL at DT, DE looks good though. Terry
I am tickled to have him. Ohio State is loaded with DB's in this class (already have 6, 4 listed as CB's and 2 listed as Safetys), plus they are already at 24 recruits so you have to wonder if they would have taken him. No matter though, we're happy to have him!! EJ Banks
I think that we're about to see a lot of man coverage due to the blitz packages the staff wants to put together in the future... thus, we have gone hard after DBs Welcome aboard young man. Don't go to parties where there are cameras
Banks <r>Sid, Thanks.<br/> <br/> Terry,<br/> <br/> I read the Banks kid wrong. In my mind I had him going to Ohio St. for sure. <br/> <br/> Kid appears to be a very nice athlete.<br/> <br/> <br/> <br/> <E></E></r>
Brian Hamilton couldn't just let it go could he...what a complete asshole. I'm glad Charlie resisted the temptation to give him a piece of his mind and just left it at "Give me a break, lets move on". :!:
what happened? jeeez I get busy for 2 hours waiting on lawyers, doctors and landscaping companies to make up their mind about their websites and I miss something. crap
Corey, Brian Hamilton, the A-Hole that he is, tried to pin Charlie down on the Clausen photos, asking him if he was worried about JC's decision making, would their be discipline. Charlie no doubt wanted to say F* U and sit down. But he very calmly said 1. He in no way condones underage drinking 2. But Gimmie a break and that's all I'm going to say about it. Hamilton wouldn't let it go, and Charlie was patient, but wouldn't answer with anything other than gimmie a break lets move on. Terry
Speaking of JC, one of the guys asked about Michael Floyd and what Charlie thinks about his progress. He said that he talked to Jimmy Clausen and that his praise of Floyd was through the roof, I think we'll see a lot of Michael Floyd this year. Also said the Jonas Gray really arrived ready to play, said he didn't look like a freshman and already is showing leadership skills. Also said that the RB's were 1 and 1A with Armando Allen being 1A and Robert Hughes and James Aldridge competing for the other #1 slot. My money is on Robert Hughes, that kid finished great last year even though it was against the weaker teams. Great to see the Irish back in action!! Terry
Here's the blow by blow of the exchange between Brian "the A-hole" Hamilton and Charlie Somebody should've gone Tanya Harding on the dude in the parking lot.
