The first of the Majors, the favorite of most golf fans. The beauty, the history, the class way the tourney is run, the terrific course that they play on, all make it maybe the greatest golf tourney.

    Who do I like
Rory ...he's off to a good start, can his putting hold up.
Rickie Fowler...also has been playing well. I'd love to see Rickie get the win
Matt Kuchar ...leads the Fedex Cup ...doesn't seem like his kind of course.
Xander Schauffele ...this kid can play
Justin Thomas ...he has the game
Dustin Johnson..he definitely has the game
Bubba or Phil...the course seems to favor lefties when they are playing well.

    Forget Jordan Spieth...his head isn't right .

Good analysis Terry. There always seems to be a Euro or two who is in contention. Molinari and Stinson come to mind. Doubt Sergio has the game right now but Rahm has plenty of talent.

That's really it isn't kp, you've got to be able to handle those greens in Augusta.

Well the menu for the Champions Dinner is out...it reflects Patrick Reed's Texas roots!

I see Freddie Couples and Bernhard Langer are back for another go. Final groups are interesting.

Spieth, Casey and Koepka are the final group
Phil, Justin Rose and Justin Thomas before them
Dustin Johnson, Bryson DeChambeau and Jason Day before them.

I thought they'd bury Spieth in the middle and put Tiger in the last couple of groups. Tiger is playing mid morning with Jon Rahm and Rory and Rickie are right behind them.

Freddie!!! Not a good day, he frequently gets off to good starts at the Masters...but today he was +6.

Leaders right now are at -3, including Tiger.

Had to watch on replay...am golfing in Myrtle Beach. Not a huge Tiger fan but not a detractor either and was rooting for him. Was really neat to see his reaction after the win. Happy for him and good for golf in general.

I've golfed a lot in Hilton Head, but Myrtle Beach is a place I'd like to make a trip with the "guys" for a golfing trip. The other place I'd like to go is the Robert Trent Jones Trail in Alabama.

Terry, one of the RTJ courses is close to where I live in Prattville, AL. Let me know. Maybe Corey can come down.

Corey, I'm actually in Titus, about 15 miles north of Wetumpka. It's about a 40 minute drive to Pratville, I have drive around Lake Jordan. There is also a RTJ course in Huntsville.
