Says ND won't have more than 2 wins after the first 8 games. Also said if Charlie wins 7+ games he will vote for him for coach of the year and will show his ballot on TV. Seriously, When did he try to get into ND and get rejected? He had too, too much spite on his end. I also don't get why ND gets abused for playing the academies when Penn St plays Appalachian St, Buffalo and Temple and thats fine? Academies are tougher better than those crap teams.
8) http://firemarkmay.blogspot.com/ 8) http://www.notredamefans.com/ I believe that Markmaysucks .com was taken down in January...
May was huge on the Gator fan S*it list before his fave USC went down and then May flip-flopped into a Gator supporter and erstwhile ESPN Gator backer Kirk Herbstreit suddenly turned on the Gators and became the new #1 hated talking head in G-ville. I don't think ND will find many media backers this season until the season plays out and they win a few tough games they won't be favored in.
Is that the same Mark May who predicted than ND would go 0-6 to start 2 yrs. ago? He actually thinks that he can get some ND fans irked by another BS prediction. He should know we're too smart for that.
MM will now incessantly beat that drum until proven otherwise. If the Irish fall his way it will get extremely annoying for Irish fans to watch ESPN.
As though it's been such a pleasure all these years. So who are they hyping for Heisman this year? As I understand it, if ND doesn't win at Michigan, Jimmy Clausen will have lost his opportunity to win the Heisman FOREVER.
...here we go again. Mark May who is still bitter because his Pitt team didn't get the bowl he wanted when he was on the college roster and Notre Dame did. Additonally, he still believes it was a racist move for ND to let TW go after 3 seasons(he didn't say anything about Stanford letting Harris go after 2 seasons)....my first impluse is to get angry at the guy but even after ND wins it's third game of the first 8(which they will) he will simply be on the air saying something to the effect that..."oh' well I guess I was wrong", or how some of those teams weren't as good as he had anticipated....he'll find some way to lightly dismiss it and with much less fortitude and emphasis than he gave his original remarks of course. ESPN knows he gets a rise out of the Irish Nation every time he says some bogus remark. Notre Dame will obviously take some serious lumps during that first 8 game stretch....we ain't playin western, southern, northern, eastern and southwetern michigan like the brave souls at Ann Arbor are during their first 8 and because of the situation that the afore metnioned TW put us in with his marvelous recruiting classes, we will have to do the bulk of it with the sophs and freshmen. So take your shots now Mr May and company, we ARE NOT among the elite of college football right now but we DAMN SURE WILL BE SOON! Hope they stick around to watch the Irish kick arse in the years to come.
Some of these guys slay me. If part of May's salary was based on accuracy he either would be taking a pay cut or talking different. He's out to lunch with the Notre Dame prediction. There is also a thread on the GatorCountry Insider board where he supposedly said that USC would go undefeated in the SEC but LSU couldn't go undefeated in the Pac 10. Frankly a good bit of the ESPN crew leaves me cold right now with May and Herbstreit at the top of the list.
