Pretty good read and I am sure there are many Denver fans ( not all..... but many ) left scratching their collective heads over their home loss in their first playoff game under Manning and wondering the same thing.

Win now didn't happen.....and I do agree that the whole climate for winning by this Denver team was set straight and in the right direction by Tebow's leadership last season.

Assuming you watched the game Dave, Manning did exactly what he was paid to do for the season, and in that playoff game.

The defense lost the game in the last 30 seconds.

Absolutely. Manning did everything he was paid to do and more. I think Tebow is finished in the NFL at this point.

Some day MCG you need to learn to just let some things lie.

That's right.... I forgot the Denver Qb position is not responsible for the Bronco defense even though somehow last season it was.....

As the article states though and as I witnessed on TV... the game was basically lost in OT due to the ill advised throw across his body by Manning on the Denver side of the field.
Pretty much had a ton to do with the game winning FG by the Ravens don't ya think?

Yeah Denver really screwed up letting Tebow go, they'd have been in the Super Bowl with Tebow.

Might have at least won one playoff game though......... 8)

Seriously though.....as the article states does this leave Denver now with a guy who has shown he still has good stuff......but is he going to be "Favre-like" and not have the stuff to do everything needed to get to that Super Bowl?

Elway is stuck with Manning's huge contract to ride it out and find out.

Terry.....I guess you can believe that.....but I watched as Denver made the transition last year from a 1-4 loser to a division winner that believed in itself and that beat the defending NFL champion Steelers in the playoffs.

Nothing in that equation says Tebow wouldn't have led Denver to the playoffs this season as well.

Yeah, one lucky pass and now he's a sure fire playoff QB.

Read the article..... his season last year with Broncos was so much more than that.

I watched every game he played and it was great fun watching that team morph into a winner and watching Tebow lead all of those comebacks.

The Broncos in 2011 played in a terrible division and were an 8-8 playoff team that got into the playoffs by default. The 2012 Broncos were 13-3 and had the best record in the AFC. The got a bye in the first round instead of playins some dog team like the 2011 Steelers (who didn't even make the playoffs this year.)
Why is there any discussion about the difference between a HOF QB and a clip board holder?

Too bad the fanatical support you have doesn't sway the NFL experts into realizing that he could morph at any second for any team.

Quite simple Gip.....because our Gator friend is apparently more knowledgeable about such things than any player, scout, position coach, head coach, GM and/or owner of any NFL team in the league......if you can't beat out Sanchez for snaps, that says all one needs to know .....

Because there are many up in Bronco country.....including this Aspen scribe...... who wonder about that interception that lost the game for the Broncos vs. the Ravens.

Great season.....awesome season..... nowhere....nada in the playoffs.

And it could be directly attributable to a bad decison/pass by the Qb in OT which leads to some legitimate questions going forward.

Manning also threw a pick 6 in that game as well in the first half.

As usual this is more than about what MCG thinks.... although you guys like to believe that often it seems. 8)

He had some brilliant throws..... but he had critical game changing errors as well.

Look for more of this type of questioning as the season nears next fall.....

Of course they are....naturally. But that is not what you are hinting at nor what people here are questioning. What they are not wondering about, which you constantly suggest, is whether or not Tebow would have given them a better chance to win......that is not in question by any rational observer.
