It will be interesting to see if the Ohio State defense can slow down Shoelaces. Even against Wisc he got some Techmo Bowl type of numbers, just didn't get the ball enough with all those 16 play 8 minute drives Wisc uses!
Shoelaces huh.....sensitive humanitarians that we are , are concerned that Shoelaces may well go the way of McGuffie......and get "McGuffied" and end up at Appy State or Rice or anywhere not frequented by the Silver Bullets....to get "McGuffied" has become part and parcel of modern football lexicon in the Buckeye Nation..... 8) <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Cm50v7vGVUY?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Cm50v7vGVUY?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
Well that was back in RR's first season at UM and they were awful, right now the UM offense is light years ahead of where they were then and I think the OSU defense may have it's hands full containing him. I think the OSU offense will put 50 up on them like Wisc did, but UM will score some points on OSU as well. I wonder if this could develop into a shootout?
I expect them to score some points, but I have always believed that this defense has been styled/manned to stop these kinds of offenses and match up better than we do against the Badger monsters.....esp after we lost our best run support safeties and LB due to injury in the Wisky loss. In any event, our defense is much quicker and athletic than any they have seen to date.....I don't expect us to shut them down completely, but the big play potential that they have feasted on all season long is much, much more difficult to come by against this defense, imo. Offensively, the big fear is that Pryor and Boom Herron were injured -v- Iowa to the point that they are uncertain for M! Pryor took a shot to his throwing shoulder and Herron to his ankle/lower leg. TP finished strong, but it was apparent that his shoulder was bothering him. Hopefully nothing structural, just soreness that will work itself our over the week..... If healthy, M hasn't stopped anybody all year long, I don't see them slowing down this one.....TP's absence would change things a great deal.....Herron not so much. Plug in another, we'd lose a little, but i would expect the Oline and the FB to move people off the ball
Michigan has no defense except if they were to play the one team whose offense could make them look good......UF. ( NO Gator Bowl.......don't even think about it! ) Ohio State 48 - Michigan 24
I hope that we are able to focus on Evil Empire this week but there is a bit of a family squabble going on: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_jgyugzLdbng/TL01AGx-ISI/AAAAAAAACCo/0EZ0a1X-9ew/s1600/Battle_of_Fort_Rodriguez.jpg?type=Finjan-Download&slot=00000150&id=00000D4F&location=93B3F315
8) 8) 8) Another Big loss to UM no doubt will make his life less secure. I do wonder though since he's spent three years recruiting the type of athletes he needed to run his offense and seems to finally have them, what would happen if they fired him and brought in somebody who would go back to old time Mich Bo/Mo/Lloyd type of football. I mean you'd have to start all over again. Have you heard any more about the AD forcing a new DCoord on him as a condition of him keeping his job?
Bobda sent this to me. Pretty funny. I've seen these about Greg Davis and Texas and about Bob Stoops after the A&M loss. <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/pyfAD_l9R-Q?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/pyfAD_l9R-Q?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
JT at his Monday presser says TP has a "bruised" shoulder but will be good to go for Saturday.....same with Herron and his ankle. I expect that anything short of a visible cast for either and he would have said the same thing......I hope both are as near 100% as one can be this time of year.....

Why small children are scared to death that somebody is going to break into their home on December 24th and eat all the Christmas cookies:
