Great, a week of looking at the same old warmed over memes that he has posted for the past 20 years. Any new stuff?

Boring and stale, BT. But, then again, you are a loyal son of Ohio.

To be fair, the Musical Theatre Department at M sends a lot of alums to Broadway. But, Yo! Columbus is a crackhouse en fuego

50 years ago. Woody disagreed with the ref’s failure to call PI late in the 4th quarter.

So who won that game? Those announcers were pretty funny with their call of the incident!

That was the year of the tie...10-10 after Michigan's Mike Lantry missed 2 field goals at the end (one was a very long attempt). The Big 10 athletic directors voted who to send to the Rose Bowl and chose Ohio State...even though they had gone the year before. It was very controversial. Some say it was petty jealousies and others feel the directors were afraid to send M because Dennis Franklin (M's QB) broke his collar bone late in the OSU game.

The next year Ohio State won by 2 over Michigan, again after an end of the game missed field goal by Lantry...it went pretty much right over the left upright and the refs called it wide...another controversial call. OSU and M tied for the conference (again) that year but OSU was voted into the Rose Bowl again based on head to head, I assume.

The next year the Big 10 changed the rule allowing other teams to go to bowl games and Michigan went to the Orange Bowl, losing to Oklahoma, while OSU went back to the Rose Bowl, losing a rare rematch to UCLA.

Either way, M went 30-2-1 over '72, '73, and '74 and went to no bowl games. Both losses and the tie were to OSU.

A little humor from another bulletin sports board this morning:

Breaking news out of Ann Arbor: Hairball is only dressing half his team Saturday. The rest will have to dress themselves:p
