Welcome back Buckeye T, I really wonder if this game will be played come Saturday?

From what I've seen this year, it's clear they can't play, we just need them to show up for the game. :)

Urban said on show that OSU was preparing to play next Saturday but they don't know who they will play.
He also said that the BIG 10 is reevaluating their rules in the light of new information regarding isolation and Quarantine.

Great...Terry is back for his once a year visit in anticipatory celebration of another pillaging and some semi credible Michigan bloggers are reporting that Harbaugh is going to sign a 3 year extension that will be announced early next week. Fun times....

1 year left on his contract and a huge buyout that I suspect the the AD does not want to pay given the financial hit the athletic department will take this year. I guess they fear what the impact would be on recruiting and the rush to the transfer portal if they let H coacb next year on lame duck status. The reports claim the extension would include a low buyout. So if the reports are true, it sounds as if they are giving H a Covid year mulligan and trying to use the extension to salvage recruiting.

The team is very young so maybe H can turn things around as Kelly did at ND after a 4-7 season. But, Kelly had a lot more success prior to the 4-7 season and nothing in the past few years provide optimism that H will be able to turn M into a national power.

That makes sense, I listen to ESPNU quite a bit and they have discussed that and how it would make recruiting very difficult if his contract runs out next year.

I would assume that what you say about the extension is right, very favorable terms for M.

The amusing thing is that M fans are now very nostalgic about the Carr era and seemingly forgot the heat that Carr received in his last years as head coach. On the other hand, when H was hired, I was certain he would turn M back into a national power and am stunned at how wrong my certainty turned out to be.

I think most assumed that Harbaugh was a homerun hire for Michigan.

Just to confirm, I'll ask around, but no doubt it will bring you great comfort to know that Buckeye Nation is OK with the Harbaugh extension......

Welcome BT, nice to hear your perspective.

As to the Harbaugh hire I agree, most of us thought that it was a homer hire, including a lot of Gator fans.

That is really nice of you to point that out, Terry. Were you able to poll fans who were alive during the time period when we regularly beat you guys? I suspect it might be difficult for them to comment.
