LSWho opens a 1.5 point favorite against Tennessee in Neyland Stadium. LSWho is ranked #13 while Tennessee is #8. I don't think you're paying attention here... #13 two loss team on the road is favored by 1.5 over #8 one loss team at home. I just can't figure out these rankings this year. :? Lewis Black
Tom... the line is strictly set to balance the money. If the betting public doesn't agree the line will shift, unlike the rankings. 8)
That's nuts. Let's see LSU has wins over.... UL La Az Tulane Miss State Kentucky Fresno State Oh yeah they have a lot of power wins there to justify them being the favorite on the road. To tell you the truth it's a farce that they are ranked #13. Terry
This may tell the story: Ainge is questionable for the game. He did not play in the last drive due to an ankle injury suffered at the 5 yard line on the previous drive. He completed that drive (2 plays) but was obviously in pain and could not move out of the pocket. He is in a walking boot that will not come off until Friday. Crompton is getting all of the snaps in practice.
well <t>I honestly think that Auburn was lucky to beat LSU. At the same time, LSU seems to be as good as the QB. Take away his run and the ability to throw deep, so that you make him beat you underneath as all 'good' QBs should be able to do. THat seems to be the key with LSU this year.<br/> <br/> If you let that QB go deep or out of the pocket, you're in trouble.<br/> <br/> No one has done less with more than LSU. I give UT the staff advantage here. With, or without, Ainge.</t>
Without Ainge that LSU defense will wreak havoc. Coker is out also right? The speed and aggressiveness of LSU is the real deal. You're right in that Auburn was lucky...twice. Lucky they played LSU and Fla at home and lucky the SEC administrative philosophy is so backwards if not backwoods.
Shut the f#*k up Corey! How the h#!! am I going to get people to pick LSU in the contest if you are going to dispute my innuendo with facts?
hahahaha <t>sorry Tom. I shall redeem myself..<br/> <br/> Yes MCG, UT is hurting.<br/> <br/> I hear Fulmer is rolling little hockey helmeted warriors off the short bus and holding try outs for the QB spot this weekend. Woe be the Vols. UT has no depth, no speed and certainly no defense of their own. This may get ugly.</t>
well tom calm down there buddy. lol. and thank you for teh dvd's should go great for some quality time with the lil misses. I'm still trying to get her to understand that the yellow line (the first down marker) is not actually on the field. she swears up and dowen that that sucker is on teh field and they move it ever first down lol. as for lsu I think that we will have no problem with them. I'm worried about arkansas. they have been playing well and they are a rough physical team it's going to be a great game but that will be one i will miss because of the marine corps ball next weekend.
Why do I think UT is in trouble big time in this game. The Vols are dinged up pretty good and the Tigers vividly remember the way in which Tenn yanked victory from the jaws of defeat last year in BR. LSU is really talented and had two very tough losses on the SEC road to Aub and Fla. Not this time.......LSU 31 Tenn 20
Sorrry Tom....Geaux Tigahas!! Self interest rooting in place here!! As for the most part I detest LSU and their classes drunk fans.
And Tennessee didn't have disruptions? Normally a team does NOT have to fly into a city, get off the plane, ride the bus up to the stadium, and play the game. We wanted the venue changed but there was no bending by this poor little underweight team. There were no hotels available... no place for the Tennessee team to come into town early and prepare as they normally do. I do feel bad that they had to endure hardships. But do not belittle the winning team when that happens. We gave them options that included moving the game, postponing the game, or cancelling the game. They stood by their guns and wanted to play it there and now.
I CONCUR!! They could've done alot of things. Moved the location postpned the game. They jumped up there in the first half and got thier butts kicked in the second. so therefore the only thing I have to say to it is that particular night the better team won!!
I wonder if Ainge is going to play tomorrow? Or if he plays will he be effective? Damn I hate this when I'm making picks! Terry
