Loser probably drops out of the BCS Championship race. But I think this game is more important to LSU as far as the SEC Championship. A loss by LSU would drop them 2 games behind Alabama if the Tide keeps winning. However a Georgia loss would put them only one game behind in the East and still in charge of their own destiny.

I have mixed feelings about this one.

Right now I don't see either team as being in that group who has a shot at the BCS Champ Game. LSU is a good not great team, and Georgia has lost too many front line players. Both Good, not great.

Don't sell Georgia short. They have a way of coming on strong like last year. They didn't look all that good going into the Gator game, but beat us and won out. A lot of folks, not including me, thought that they belonged in the BCS Championship game.

LSU, the one sided loss to the Gators would probably keep them out. But if they win out and win the west, they could find themselves in a rematch with the Gators and I would not think it would be a guaranteed win for the Gators.

I think I want Georgia to win setting up two one loss teams for Jacksonville next week, that is if we get by Kentucky.

Last year Georgia sat on their butt the week after playing Vandy and spent the day watching Tebow get his shoulder dinged up vs. Kentucky.

This year after playing a tougher Vandy team the Dawgs get to "heal up" by playing at a very physical LSU squad that cannot afford a loss because of Bama's great SEC start.

    I love it..... 8)

I just don't have much faith in Georgia right now. I'm not sure that Vandy is much more than just an average football team and Georgia had a hard time with them. I wouldn't be suprised if LSU schooled the Dawgs, except for the fact that LSU has a QB problem with Lee being a promising talent but not quite ready to be a consistent like you have to be to win. The Harvard guy is no doubt a good kid and works hard but is limited in his ability.

oh 'boo hoo' you had to play your schedule.

I'm with both Bill and Terry here. This is an elimination from the BCS game (or should be), but with the SEC.. The new standard for elimination is 3 losses. At 2, if you're a marquis name, you're still in the running.

I watched in person as Florida incurred several bumps and bruises vs. LSU and then on TV as SouCar also suffered several injuries vs. the Tigers.

I know injuries can occur vs. anyone but I tell you LSU is a physical team with an attitude and Georgia will not come out of that game in Baton Rouge unscathed.

If nothing else the emotions will have a toll taken on them and it will be damned hard to restoke the fire one week later vs. UF.

You're not saying that Kentucky, an SEC team, won't be a tough physical challenge that will take it's toll on the Gators are you? :?

Kentucky has a top 25 defense and has been competitive all season long. I don't see this as a non physical game.

However I would prefer playing Kentucky over a ticked off LSU team this week. :)
