It appears that futility has its benefits since the truly inept are involved in bidding wars between schools looking for the softest marshmellow that they can find. that's some real low-ball, no expectation having vision there. if you concentrate on actually BEING better, than that money is generated thru other avenues. (advertising, merchandise etc) the bigger the game you play, the more money that will not only be generated from it, but the bigger effect it will have on the program.
