Tomorrow @ 1400 hrs (that's 2:00 p.m. for you civilans) NU will have it's first ever televised spring game on the B1G network. So get your golf outa the way in the morning, and settle in for an afternoon in the Sea of Red. Oh almost forgot, look for me, I'll be wearing all my Cardinals gear with a Cornhead, so I should be easy to spot.
Speaking of the Cardinals...what happened out in Arizona. I wake up and both my teams Astros and Cardinals are in last place! What kind of crowd is expected for the Spring Game?
(1) They wanted to go to bed, 16 innings too much for third game (2) It's April 5th Doc...159 more to go (3) Probably 110-115,000...
Spring game stats so far...note the asterick for UT... 1) Nebraska - 60,174 2) Kentucky - 50,831 3) Texas - 46,000 * 4) Texas A&M - 45,212 5) Georgia - 45,113 6) Ohio State -37,643 7) South Carolina - 35,218 8) Louisville - 33,000 9) Clemson - 30,000 10) Oklahoma - 29,200 * = "Just know that one Texas fan immediately tweeted "We lied" when this spring attendance story by SBNation.com was presented".
I think the Irish will have a good attendance at the Spring game this Saturday, might exceed 40K. BTW: What is your explanation for the low attendance for the Huskers at this years Spring game?
Well Gipper.....when the Huskers ain't playing, there's: (1) World's largest Kolache Festival in Prague (2) Worlds largest open air aviary in Omaha (3) World's second largest collection of Elephant fossils at NU (4) Worlds largest hand planted forrest in Thedford (5) Birthplace museum of Gerald Ford in Omaha (6) Worlds largest American Legion post in Lincoln (7) Chimney Rock, part of the Oregon trail (8) The original Vice-Grip plant in Dewitt (9) Higgins boat memorial in Columbus (10) Drive the Worlds longest straight main street from Milford to Lincoln (11) Shop the nations largest furniture store...Nebraska Furniture mart in Omaha (12) National liar's hall of fame in Dannebrog (13) Shop the nations largest jewelry store (Borsheims) in Omaha (14) Worlds largest concentration of Sandhill Cranes in Overland (15) Home of SPAM...Fremont, NE (16) Visit the Field Club of Omaha....oldest CC west of the Missouri river
Hey when I google Prague Kolache Festival...I get a place in Oklahoma! Really! How many other of those really happen in Oklahoma!
Oklahoma always thinks they're bigger than us.... Prague is commonly referred to as the home of the world's largest kolache, as says the sign along Nebraska Highway 79 when entering the town from the south.
Update....Huskers slide down to #4. I'm actually surprised Alabama didn't have 90k. The weather here was just amazing. Maybe those Tide fans are losing the edge?? Nah...
wow... looks like a lot of folks at Auburn are expecting Gus to wave a magic wand and make everything right with their program. Umm... Yeah...
You have no idea, Scott. They really think they are Alabama. It would be cute if they weren't so obnoxious..
